Good espresso beans for your flat white or capuccino
I chose the Cru Cafe espresso beans. These arrive as 6 bags in a cardboard box. Each of the bags is 227g; and the expiration date on them was a year after they arrived. Though the bags didn't indicate when they were roasted. The smaller separate bags are nice as 200 grams lasts will last me about 3-4 days so they can stay in their protective atmosphere for longer before I open them. The bags themselves are plastic; which is unusual for coffee which often comes in metalised bags; something I thought occurred to maintain the environment in the bag. They must leak to some degree as opening the cardboard box I was greeted with the aroma of coffee. It doesn't seem to have impacted the coffee I received - and the plastic is recyclable unlike the metalized plastic bags.My eyes suggest this is a slightly dark of medium; the beans were nice and dry they were just darker than the with no evidence of seeping oils on them. The beans looked evenly roasted with no burnt or raw beans showing in the pack. After a couple of pours and fiddling with the grind settings I dialled the coffee in. The coffee isn't a complex coffee with the floral notes left in; the undertones for me are like dark toast and dark chocolate . As a raw espresso that makes it a less interesting drink for me. I like lighter pure espressos. It worked ok as an espresso macchiato in the small cup in the photo by adding some steamed milk. It also worked very well with full milk drinks like flat whites and cappuccino. If you are after 3rd wave gourmet espresso I don't think this is for you; for a delicious flat white it works well.

Ethical, full bodied and tastes great.
The media could not be loaded. Fairtrade ✔️Quantity ✔️Organic ✔️Well packaged ✔️Flavour ✔️Full bodied ✔️Strength ✔️Aroma ✔️Quality ✔️Sustainability ✔️I enjoy a coffee in the morning or when working as much as the next person and hate spending unnecessarily on takeaway coffees that don’t hit the spot. This actually makes for a really pleasant and enjoyable cup of coffee to start my day. It’s strong and full bodied in its flavour and delivers a nice hit without bitterness. I use a grinder to prepare enough quantity for my day and have a small French Press as it’s quick and easy and for me personally, it produces the best brew..It’s organic and sustainable, so no nasty chemicals or pesticides in its growth and production and it is ethical in its approach due to it being Fairtrade.Overall, it’s good value and saves on expensive and unnecessary takeaway coffees and in my honest opinion, it tastes a great deal better too!

For Dark Roast Coffee Lovers
From the moment you open the sealed bag you realise that this is a dark roast coffee from the deep and slightly burnt aroma to the glistening dark brown colour of these very good quality beans. This impression extends to the palate where strong bitter and acidic fruity notes emerge above a dark/caramel chocolate foundation. This is very much a wake me up in the morning type of coffee particularly when taken black rather than for mid afternoon with cake. Officially rated as 4 for roast-it would also have a high number for strength. The beans are certified 100% Organic and are Single Sourced Fairtrade although no more detailed information is supplied on the packet about exactly how the farmers are treated. In terms of value for money you have to buy six 227 g bags in a pack at around £6 a unit which is certainly no bargain although not excessive for an ethical product. One to try to see if it works for you whether made in a moka pot, cafetiere or filter.

Far more cost effective than expensive coffee shops
✅ Organic, 100% soil association and fair trade which should mean some level of environmental and social responsibility.✅ Single Origin rather than a blend.✅ No roast date but there is a best before date and not short dated.✅ Good grinding, rich aroma and decent coffee. Unless you are a major coffee connoisseur we think that these are a good way to phase out expensive coffee shop coffees and save some money as these can work out more cost effective - assuming you have the grinder and machine etc.

Rich taste with a beautiful aroma
If you are looking for a coffee with rich notes to start off your day, this may just be it! I will say that this is a very high quality coffee where each and every individual coffee bag is consistently roasted and feature the exact intensity in regards to its caramel/dark chocolate notes. I will also like to mention that this is a coffee you can easily drink black with no sugar. Too often I find myself adding milk and sugar to tackle the bitter taste of other bean coffee brands which is never out of preference. It is very refreshing to finally be able to appreciate the taste of coffee rather than just to wake me up in the mornings. This is perfect for my coffee machine, no defective beans so the taste, smell and consistency is always the same for each cup. I can't wait to give the other flavours a try too! 5 stars! :)Thank you for reading my honest review, I hope you found it helpful! :)

Great tasting deep flavoured coffee beans
These are very nice coffee beans that have a deep complex flavour and are ethically sourced which is always nice. So firstly even though you get six bags for the price they are very small, they do last a while, a bag has lasted me about a week and a half or so but at the time of writing this they work out at around £6 per bag which is quite expensive when you consider the size of each bag.The taste of these is really nice, it is on the more bitter end of the spectrum with those more complex notes, it mentions on the bag blackcurrant, apple and hazelnut, I’m not really getting the fruity notes but there are definitely those savoury nutty notes in the taste. The beans are all nice looking and are evenly roasted. I have been grinding these and using them in a filter coffee machine, I do grind quite fine which I find does give a deeper flavour anyway and often brings out more bitter notes.
