Monotowns: Soviet Landscapes of Post-Industrial Russia

Buenas y evocadoras fotografías. El texto es escasísimo, mejor, para así disfrutar más de las fotografías. Con todo, las hojas introductorias son adecuadas. En inglés, pasta dura y en colorTengo 3 libros de esta editorial y todos me gustanEspero que haya sido útil mi valoración

Es ist seit langem mal wieder ein Fotobuch, was ich mir bestellt habe. Es hält nicht nur den Ist-Zustand des Buchtehmas fest, sondern jedes Bild erzählt eine kleine Geschichte (wenn man sich denn drauf einlassen will).| Qualität & Haptik |Für den Preis hatte ich mit weitaus weniger gerechnet: Hochglanz & Softcover waren die Erwartung. Weit gefehlt!!! Das Buch kommt mit einem matten Hardcover. Schönes unbeschichtetes Papier. Die Haptik ist wundervoll. Die Papierdicke ist perfekt (Ich habe irgendwo von 140g/m² gelesen). Die Buchgröße ist mit 17x24cm etwas kleiner als A4 und war sehr angenehm um es auf Couch oder Sessel durchzublättern.Einziges Manko: Durch die Bindung kommen Fotografien, welche über den Bund gedruckt wurden, nicht ganz zur Geltung.| Aufbau & Inhalt |Mir war das Thema „Monotown“ neu. Es wird (auf Englisch) toll erklärt und erläutert wie es sich in die Geschichte der Sowjetunion eingliedert. Gerade so tief, dass man es versteht und sich informiert wird und es nicht langweilig wird.Anhand der einseitigen Vorstellung der Stadt und der folgenden Bilder aus dieser kann man deren Zustand wunderbar begreifen.| Fazit |Ich habe es mir eigentlich nur wegen der Vorschaubilder geholt und wird nicht enttäuscht. Das Gegenteil war der Fall. Es hat mich so beeindruckt, dass es mich zu einer Rezension motiviert hat.

Avevo già comprato "Concrete Siberia" e "Eastern blocks" sempre di Zupagrafika..con questo Monotowns chiudiamo l'anello😉.Bellissime foto (se vi piacciono quei posti..a volte..spesso un pò desolati/abbandonati/tristi...ma io li amo alla follia!) e molto bello con descrizione accurate delle zone fotografate.Un MUST da averePs. Venditore eccellente con subito la risposta a ogni domanda, pacco perfetto e spedizione nei tempi stabiliti 😊, grazie!

Great content and just enough info to explain everything, what let’s it down is the front and rear cover, it’s matte and looks like it’s made from recycled material? Makes it feel cheap.Should have been done in landscape format as well rather than portrait.Choice of pic for front cover is an odd choice as well given some of the pics inside.
