A great non fiction book for elementary students
National Geographic is a great brand of children's books to read to a classroom. My students like the simple jokes that are found on a few of the pages. This book is also helpful when teaching about non fiction attributes such as glossary, labels, table of contents, etc.

Gorgeous Photos
The photos are stunning and very interesting and easy to read facts on every page. Although technically for children I bought this for my mother with dementia and it is her favorite. I enjoyed it myself as well.

A great accompaniment to a butterfly habitat
We raised 40 monarch caterpillars this summer and this was a good companion to the waiting between them emerging from the chrysalis and flying away at release. We had a pop-up butterfly habitat and fed our caterpillars on milkweed from a local hardware store, Lowes/HomeDepot. The hardware store is where we first acquired our very tiny caterpillars and butterfly eggs that hatched soon after the milkweed was planted.

very good book on hte Monarch Butterfly
This is small but a very good book on the Monarch Butterfly. It has more info then larger books I had in the past. It is great for a curious child to read and view the pictures.

Very educational
Good book very educational. We found the Mariners eggs and keep them in jars until they hatch and grow up and then become butterflies. I turned my 10-year-old great-niece onto it and I bought her this book to go along to Lauren the stages of a monarch butterfly

Great Pictures
This book is mainly aimed at older kids learning about butterflies. The pictures are great! Especially wonderful are the pictures of the life cycle or the butterfly from the egg that is laid by the butterfly to the milkweed eating caterpillar to the chrysalis and back to a butterfly.
