Great pants, very comfortable and functional! Especially considering the low price. I’m not sure how durable they’d be, but I only plan in wearing them to the local Ren Faire and they should be perfect for that.My only minor complaint is that these pants taper fairly significantly towards the bottom. I originally went with an XL thinking it may be a little big but I could tighten the waist. I am fairly large with a size 38 waist (US men’s), and when I got the XL it was actually fairly snug throughout. The problem was the calves: there is a stitch that goes around the circumference of the calf and has ZERO give to it. On the XL I could barely get the stitch over my ankles, and the stitch is supposed to be about mid- to upper-calf so this made the pants unwearable. I returned them and went for the XXXL (pictured) to be on the safe side, and these were perfect! The laced cuff portion was still too thin to go all the way around my calf/ankle, but I believe this is intentional to show off the lacing.As you can probably tell from the pictures, I’m a rather large guy, and my legs are very thick even for my size. For that reason I’m still giving this five stars, as I’m sure the average Joe would fit these pants well! But yeah, if you’re thicker than a milkshake, I recommend going a couple sizes larger than you think. Keep in mind that the waistline has a draw string, so even if they’re a little big on you they won’t fall down :)

The pants look and feel great. The only issue I had was that they are way too tight through the calves for me. This wasn't too much of an issue for me, because I tucked them into boots, but it wasn't the most comfortable. Aside from that though, they were perfectly adequate.

If it weren't for my calves these would have fit perfectly. I bought the medium thinking with everyone saying the waist stretches I would be fine. I'm 5'3" with a 32" waist and 40" hips. What I did not account for were my beefy calves. I could the pants up but could not lace the calves. The tighter part was also cutting off my circulation. If it weren't for that they'd have been absolutely perfect. I returned them and ordered the next size up. Stay tuned. This may get updated to a 5 star if they fit.Edit: Updating to 5 stars because the large definitely is much more comfortable and can lace the calves now.

Surprisingly comfortable, nice material. Good stretchy waistband. Fits like a good pair of joggers. Will wear casually

I got these pants as the bottoms to my costume of Odin, The Wandering Traveler. I'm a very heavy man. Could say I'm an extra large mammal. Haha. I expected my belly to cause problems. I even expected my thighs to be snug as my active duty dress uniform trousers were always shut. BUT my calves proved too much. I couldn't lace them up all the way and I had to lower the fit of the pants so that my feet could get circulation. I know Old Norse male clothing tended to be designed around leg swapping and a form of boots. I may not have had the usual Old Norse figure but I'm not so unusual that I can't get a pair of unusual period clothing other my legs.If you want visually appealing period clothing? These are the breaches for you! I wouldn't wear them in the late fall to early spring. Maybe not 100% Northman ready but good for us Bjorn in the lower latitudes.

I'm fairly tall and thin (6' 1", 185ish lbs), and usually wear 34x34 jeans. Not as thin as when I was in my 20s, but still thin. The waist was a little snug, but stretchy so not too uncomfortable. I needed something fairly trim for a cosplay, so I erred on the side of the recommended size of medium. That was a mistake, as the calves were simply too narrow for my not-very-thick calf muscles to fit through. I'll be returning this for a large.

I just used it as a Halloween costume but it is good quality and comfortable and I like the pockets

I bought 10 pairs of pants for a Viking play. They work for all the characters. They look great and are well-made.
