Hunt's Fire Roasted Diced Tomatoes with Garlic, 14.5 Oz

I have used this product several times. Fresh tasting tomatoes for a canned product. Price is good too.

Very disappointed to find 5 of the 12 cans were severely dented…I’m not taking chances with tomatoes since I am immune compromised. They’re going back.Unfortunately I had already removed & used 2 of the cans before discovering this problem.These were NOT damaged in transit. The dented cans were packed in the middle of the carton, and the dents were not in a place where jostling could cause this. The carton also had a tight plastic seal around it and was packed in a box that exactly fit the sealed carton. These cans were purposely packed in middle.Btw, I’ve purchased these before with no problems.So disappointedUpdate: I contacted customer service and they quickly refunded my account. So I’m changing back to 5 stars since I love these tomatoes.

I cook a lot. Fire roasted tomatoes are essential for good Mexican and Italian dishes. This is high quality, tasty product. The fire roasted taste comes through very well.

Hunts has made tomato products forever. They have really upped the ante with all of their tomato products. I was pleasantly surprised by how good their tomato products have become. Hunts has gone from an average product to a very high quality product. Good work and good stuff!

I'll admit that the cans I recieved of these flavored tomatoes had a mighty strong taste. I'm not sure if they were 'fire roasted' a bit too long- but they sure had a strong aroma and flavor. Needless to say, I don't think I could eat these alone, but they make an amazing additive to other meals.I've made tomatoe soup with them by pureeing them and then bringing them to a boil with about 1/2 cup of milk, a teaspoon of salt, and a tablespoon of sugar. These already have enough seasonings to be left alone after that. And it tastes amazing. Even my children gobble it up when served with American/Mozerella grilled cheese sandwiches.Because of the super strong flavor these also make a great addition to bland pasta sauces. They add texture and an extra pop of flavor that tastes amazing. You could even add them to plain pasta and the garlic tomatoe taste would make for an amazing and yummy meal.I've tried making pizza sauce out of these, and my children weren't the biggest fans. It has more of an 'adult flavor' when added to certain dishes. But both my honey and I enjoyed it with our pizza.All in all it's a super flavor-packed product. I don't know if I could eat these tomatoes alone, but I love them when they're added in with other dishes.

Great dice toms. Very low sodium 30mg as apposed to the regular 300mg. Tastes great.

Combine a can of this tomato product with a couple of lamb shanks o r beef and a pinch of your fac=vorite seasoning.. pop in oven and you have a classy quick and tasty meal
