Come back an hour later and finish tightening the lid. The dry ice will sublimate into CO2 and displace the lighter air, thus helping to preserve your grain.

I have found these buckets to be very useful for storing bulk food items. I particularly appreciate their versatility, as they allow me to store items without the need to seal them in mylar bags beforehand. Although they may be a bit pricier than ones with the pull tabs, the reusable lids provide a nice airtight seal that I find convenient. There are times when I prefer not to permanently close a bucket until I'm ready to use the stored items, and these buckets allow me to easily open and close them without compromising the seal. While it does take considerable effort to install the ring that holds the lid, once in place, it provides a secure and tight fit. Overall, I am impressed with the quality and would definitely purchase them again.

Kind of surprised to write a review of buckets, but they arrived packaged exceptionally well. There was no plasticky smell. They seem to be a high quality set of buckets.

Heavy duty , gama lids pop right on, I have seen some reviews saying that they did not fit well, thats some b.s. mine popped on with ease, just started on one side worked my way around and POP . Great seal great price !

These 5 gallon buckets with sealable leads work really well. If you’ve ever tried to put on a regular lid on a 5 gallon bucket, you know it’s basically impossible to get on or then to get off. These have screw tops, and the only reason I gave it four stars is because The rim for the screw top is pretty difficult to put on and although I didn’t do it, it seems to me it would be easy to crack it and make it useless.

I looked @ Lowes and Home Depot for this sized bucket and closure lid. No luck and expensive.These are perfect. My wife uses them for storing the ingredients she uses to make bread and loves them. Excellent size and easy to open / close.

Sturdy and I like the lids. Great for storing my rice and flours.

One of those products that seem pricey but you can’t resist buying more because the quality is A+. As far as installing the lid… it’s hard the first 1-2 times but the. You’ll be able to do it in your sleep. I use a rubber mallet.
