Works for me, so pleased with the new packaging!
My spine and nerve pain is sometimes not bad enough to take a pill, and at other times, so bad that one dose doesn't quite cut it. In both of those situations, lidocaine patches are perfect, and this is the best one I've found. I've had no reaction to the adhesive, which is just right: it stays put for the 12 hours it's supposed to work, and the patch is easy to remove by then. (If I have to remove a patch sooner, a warm shower or compress helps.) The added natural remedies are a huge bonus, as they promote healing instead of just masking the pain.Gel-type patches are a terrible waste of money for me, because they tend to stick to themselves when I try to apply them to my upper back, rendering them unusable. They also slide right off if I sweat - I'm doing good if I get one use out of every 2 gel patches. The PainBloc24 patches are much easier to apply, and even if I do get a wrinkle or folded corner, they're still usable. They're also easy to cut, so I don't have to buy different sizes for every possible use. They've changed the packaging and eliminated significant plastic waste, too. Now I'm only disappointed that they're so hard to find on Amazon!

Great size
I couldn't get my normal lidocaine patches - they were out of stock. So I decided to go with these. My pain is in my knee - specifically my kneecap area. The prior patches covered the entire knee & then some, this are a perfect size and cover the actual area that hurts. I also like that it is easier to remove the backing than it is for the larger patches as there is a bit of a cut in the middle of the backing so you can remove the backing on one side - apply that portion of the patch, then remove the backing on the other side. As long as these patches are carried on Amazon I will continue to buy them instead of the previous ones.

I'd go with a maybe
My shoulder was hurting while playing volleyball. I was pretty desperate to find a solution that wasn't seeing the doctor just yet. My team mate grabbed these for me and I was impressed with how they worked. I wouldn't use these on something that was severe. They work well, but make sure you put them on about 30-40 before you sweat. They come off by game 3 so I use some kinesiology tape at both ends and that seemed to hold it well.

If you're in really bad pain prepare to use all of them, one per hour.
I have a pinched nerve about shoulder high. The emergency room aliviated the pain with what I thought was this product. (Lidocaine)These are paper thin , the ones used in the hospital were much thicker, as thick as an average slice of bread...even thicker. That's what I thought I was getting. Most patches didn't adhere to my shoulder , peeling off routinely.Positive side:These patches stayed on long enough for me to feel pain relief. They did what they said they would.I may have been harsh above, remember I was trying to relieve severe pain from a pinched nerve, which can be incapacitating as much if not more that a severe tooth ache, or an ear ache. So, these patches would help in minor episodes of pain such as a minor lacerations , cuts or bruises. Sunburn too!

It Works!
I have severe osteo arthritis in my knees. I've done everything except total knee replacements. All treatments have given some level of temporary releif and have required the involement of a physician. These patches provide excellent pain relief and I can control the use.

Have a shattered hip awaiting total hip replacement.
My medical ins would only approve (1) patch per day under my lidocaine script. I ran out many times and had to purchase myself if course I researched the best patches out there for nerve muscle pain, this brand came up and aspercreme. This 1st one worked for the pain when it came up to 12 hrs on. Time to remove I think I ripped a couple layers of hair and skin off my leg. Would not leave my skin, hurt terrible I sosped up a wash cloth and saturated the entire top of patch nope wouldn't come off with out ripping my skin. Then would pull a portion of patch away from my skin while inserting the soapy cloth under the patch as it still ripped my skin. I had (3)seperste patches to remove from top thigh, 2 areas in front of my lower leg. Never ever again. On a good note the aspercreme patches are large, well padded, cuts the pain from the broken hip using from top of my thigh, side knee, around front of my lower leg to back of my calves. I will definately purchase them again.

Feel very little relief, when it stays on..
You do get a cooling sensation when you apply them. However, there is no adhesion at all. They do not stay on any body part I used them for whether I had hair on that body part or if that body part was smooth. It peels up from the ends and if that body part moves, it wrinkles and starts sliding. Disappointed.
