A must have
Most SD cards don't come with case. I like to protect my cards and keep them in a card wallet with a plastic case on them. This way they are doubly protected. Local camera store sells them for a buck a piece. Way cheaper to buy them from Amazon.

Functional, depending on the need....
Thin, yes, basically just a plastic skin over your memory card, but not totally flimsy. These are basically the same as what used to be sold with some lesser brands of SD cards, years ago, as an added layer of protection when the card is out of your device, or is a spare card or whatever the situation may be.I agree it's kind of ridiculous that almost no one provides a case with SD cards anymore, especially given the price paid for higher capacity SD cards, but, comparing back to when cases were provided, these would be the cheaper version of said cases, the "better" ones being the type that is thicker, that has a locking clasp, and sometimes even has added space for a micro SD card, along with space for the adapter or SD card. So these are not outstanding, but they are functional, for sure. All ten of the ones I received were in good condition, no quality control issues, they all opened and closed fine, but keep in mind that these just aren't as sturdy as those thicker ones that have the folding clasp. Even so, none of mine have popped open, in transit or during use, even though the closure feels a bit unreliable, like it could. For me, the main advantage of these is less bulk than the other type, since I have quite a few cards, among various devices, and price of course is another factor, considering you get ten of these for less than four bucks, and some of the heavier style cases can run closer to $20. For me, I have a zippered pouch these go into, and it was mostly just to have a cover for cards I'm not using all the time, so these are more like just one more added layer of protection for cards not really at risk of damage, and I don't mind that they are not the most sturdy case option available in terms of that use.If, however, you are carrying cards around, in a more exposed manner, I would probably opt for the heavier grade case style, with the locking clasp, since those do offer more all around protection than these very slim and somewhat feeble ones. Where those heavier cases sort of isolate your card in a holder, these are really directly against your card, so, if you dropped something on this case, the card inside would almost bear the same brunt of impact as if having no case at all.I guess, in summary then, I'd say to think of these more like dust covers than real "protection" for your memory cards, so buy accordingly for the need you have, would be my suggestion.I am actually not going to purchase these again, at this time, since my current need is for better protection for cards I will be carrying around, as opposed to cards being stored, meaning I am looking for the heavier grade ones, with the clasp closure. But, I'm fine with this purchase especially since the price is practically non-existent, and they are serving the purpose I had, which was just to have a cover on cards that are going to be kept more for storage than active use, plus I can write on the case, to mark or remind me of what is on what card, so, for sure, they are useful in terms of why I bought them. The only reason I'm giving four stars, instead of five, is simply because they do lean more toward a "cheap" feeling item, and I could see that someone might receive one or more in a batch that don't maybe close quite right, or could have wear and tear issues, since these do have the sense of having been pulled from a "bulk" bin, which they probably were.Yes, they do cost very little, but some of that shows in the product, in my opinion, which winds up losing one star. I'd rather have paid a bit more, and received something of a higher quality.I hope this has been helpful. Thanks for reading!

Great Cases at a steal of a price!
Let me just start out with how cheap these are, they're literally giving you 10 SD cards protectors for just 4.99! These arrived to me in good condition and didn't have any weird plastic smell or anything like that, just good cases. They're easy to open and close, they're a little confusing on the specific position you put your SD card in, but you'll get the hang of it in a matter of time. I have used these for about 2 years now and won't have to replace these anytime soon. I would definitely buy this again or recommend to a friend.

Cheap and flimsy
I bought these assuming they'd be the kind of case you get when you order, say, a Sandisk SD card. You know, nothing too fancy. Just a rigid, little plastic case.Well, somehow, these don't even meet that low bar. They're noticeably thinner and cheaper. Lower durability means that hinge is bound to break faster. Which means they go into the trash that much faster, which means more plastic waste for no reason. The fact that these have an almost perfect average rating review demonstrates how useless the rating system has become in recent years. It seems it doesn't matter WHAT you sell, or the quality - it's always going to get a near-five-star average rating.

My "go to" SD Card Holder
I have purchased these SD card holders numerous times. As an amateur photographer, I like to keep my SD cards as my go to backup. These cases are perfect for protecting, organizing, and storing my cards. I have found the cases to be very durable, easy to open, and strong enough to remain securely closed to protect the card. I recommend giving this product a try.
