Works in optimum stapler

These staples were just the right size for my stapler. They didn’t jam up the stapler like my other stapler did. They come in a nice metal case that holds them and won’t get torn up like other boxes do.

I picked up these Swingline Optima Premium Staples (the 35556 box) because my old generic staples kept jamming my desktop stapler at the worst times. I work from home in Florida and travel quite a bit for work, so I wanted something reliable that wouldn't let me down when I'm stapling reports, boarding passes, or expense receipts on the go. I figured the jam-free claim and Optima branding might be worth the extra few bucks over the cheap stuff. These come 210 per strip in a box of 3750, with that standard 1/4" leg length. The big selling point is the chisel points and stronger design meant to glide through paper without bending or sticking. I expected them to feel a step up from basic staples—sharper, more consistent, and actually living up to the no-jam promise, especially since I pair them with a Swingline stapler. In everyday use, they perform pretty solidly. Stapling up to 20-25 sheets feels smooth and clean most of the time. The points pierce standard printer paper without tearing or leaving big holes. When I'm prepping meeting packets or organizing travel docs at my desk or in a hotel room, they just do the job without drama. No more yanking out bent staples mid-task. Pros: - Rarely jams compared to off-brand ones I've tried. - Holds stacks securely without the legs splaying out weirdly. - Consistent quality across the strips I've used so far. Cons: - They're a bit pricier than generic staples. You pay for the Optima compatibility and the promise of fewer headaches. - On thicker stacks or if your stapler isn't perfectly aligned, you can still get the occasional misfire (though way less often than cheaper options). Value for money? It's decent if you staple a moderate amount and hate interruptions. The box lasts me a good while, so the cost per staple isn't outrageous. If you're constantly fighting jams with dollar-store brands and breaking staplers, these probably save you money in the long run by keeping your equipment working. For light users, basic staples might be fine and cheaper. They met most of my expectations. The jam-free performance is real in normal conditions—I've had way fewer frustrations than before. They don't feel revolutionary, but they're noticeably better at the practical stuff: clean penetration, secure hold, and fewer reloads because things actually work. The metal tin packaging keeps them neat too. Overall, solid everyday staples for anyone tired of cheap ones failing. Not flashy, but they get the job done without the usual office annoyances.
