Great quality & selection of sockets
Nothing to dislike. Well-made, works well, in use right now during an extended trip. Highly recommended.

Type M Plug adapter for South Africa
One general problem I've had with adapter sets that have multiple plugs for countries around the world is that they often are bulky when plugging into an outlet and have had several not make it through a trip. This time I opted to get just a plug adapter for the specific country I was going that was good and solid. One great feature of this plug is having dual ports/outlets to plug into. It is very well designed with one outlet being on the back and another on the top which made it easy to us both at the same time (e.g. was able to run my laptop computer while also charging my camera/phone batteries at the same time). The adapter is compact and easy carrying for travel. Worked perfectly, never overheated, and power was consistent.

Works, as you might expect
No problems; works in connecting US devices to South African power systems; is effective in that it incorporates TWO input connections. (Was used recently for several weeks in various South African areas.) ((Notice to potential users: This device DOES NOT convert the 240 volt current common in S. Africa to any other current level -- to do that, you'll need a voltage adapter / transformer, which is an altogether different device.))

Great product
Just returned from South Africa and used this adapter the whole time we were there. It worked great and loved that it had 2 ports to recharge. All the electronics we used were able to use both 120/240v so we had no trouble (phone, cameras, kindles and curling iron). I could have used another. We used it in CapeTown, Lion Sands Sabi and Joburg. Great price for great product. This may be obvious for some but it wasn't for us, this only works in south Africa if you go to East Africa or Seychelles island you will need a different adapter. That was something we learned the hard way.

Perfect for a week long trip in South Africa
I bought two of these for my week long trip to South Africa. Like other users said if your device accepts 100-240vac 50/60Hz then all you have to do is plug it in directly to this adapter. No voltage converter necessary. These are nice and solid, heavy to the touch. Worked well for a week, can't imagine they won't last longer than that. Tip: If you're staying at a hotel they may already have one or two outlets with a build in converter for European/North American plugs. Mine had one outlet but it was nice to have more flexibility.

Buyer Beware - this adapter is not what is pictured and did not fit the South African outlet
I bought 3 of this item since the photo looked like exactly what I needed, the price was great, and the reviews were very positive. Unfortunately, this is one of the very first items (after many years of ordering on Amazon) that was not at all what was advertised. The plug has 3 prongs in the formation of what should fit for South Africa but they are in miniature and will never work. The paper label on the product wrapped in plastic is correct and says it's an adapter for South Africa but I can tell you this won't fit in any outlets in South Africa. I was very disappointed as I ordered from overseas and it's too difficult to return for a refund. Buyers beware!

Worked perfectly in South Africa
Beware: I have several "most commonly used" adapter sets, and none had the South African adapter. This worked perfectly, is heavy weight and solid. Note that many newer electronincs (smart phones, e-readers, etc.) run on both 110-240 volt current and don't require a converter. But many appliances & electronics still need the converter to "step down" the electical voltage, and the converter is used with this adapter. Fortunately this adapter has a second plug outlet, so we could plug the converter into one space and plug a smart phone that doesn't need the converter directly into the adapter. If you're not sure about your country or what you need, this is a great website that lists world electrical voltages and adapter needs: [...]

Perfect.
Exactly what I needed for my trip to Cape Town, especially considering the price. A classmate of mine bought an adapter that was 5 times the cost of mine, and it ended up not even working! I was able to charge my phone, camera, and Kindle without any issues, and my roommates used it for their blow dryers and hair straighteners as well. Sturdy, reliable, and inexpensive. Perfect.

Just went on a trip to Cape Town and this plug worked exactly as expected. Fit well and caused no problems for me on multiple devices.

Passt super in die Stecker. Kein Wackelkontakt wie bei anderen Produkten. Leicht, klein und robust. Sehr vielseitig dadurch, dass man zwei Geräte gleichzeitig einstecken kann.

I ordered a Type M adapter for South Africa and I received a Type D adapter for India (in the picture on the right). Because the only difference between a Type M and Type D adapter is the size (Type M is larger, as seen in the picture on the left), I did not know until I got to South Africa that I had been shipped the wrong one. And of course, by the time I got home from vacation, it was too late to return it! Absolutely infuriating! I spent the first few days of my vacation searching for a suitable adapter and unable to charge my devices. DO NOT TRUST!
