It's a decent snack!
The packaging is really sealed tight for a long term freshness. They flavor is ok and it's a good chunk thickness for 3 little bars.

Russain emergancy food bars
I now pity the Russian soldiers and any one else who depends on these bars. They have distinct soap taste. They are made up of fat and flower. They are toxic to any biological system. I am not sure they should be considered bio degradable. It was and experiment, they were cheap. It was a failure. I do not recommend keeping these on hand even for an emergency. It is no wonder that the Russians export them.

Not bad...
Bought these to try out. I'm gearing up for some backpacking trips and have been looking for an emergency food to toss in the bottom of my pack. These are a small enough pack to take up very little room and looks to be a one day ration though if you're staying put and not burning calories you could probably stretch that a little. They're not crumbly like some I've seen and hold together well. The taste is slightly sweet but not too strong. While not fine dining the flavor isn't bad and one bar with a swig of water, at least for me, is pretty filling. There are a couple more brands I'll try but so far this one is topping my list.

A lot smaller than I thought, figured it would ...
A lot smaller than I thought, figured it would be a meal. Packaged well, seals were intact and was produced in 2017 (5 yr shelf life) so quality was there. I suppose it would be something to toss in the bottom of a hunting pack just in case since it weighs next to nothing. About 1”x2”x3” and that’s 3 bars.

Description should read "LifeBoat Survival Ration"
Maybe I didn't read the ad correctly. I figured this was a Military complete MRE. It is a lifeboat emergency ration. It has instructions on both sides of the ration. One side is Russian and the other side is English. The ration has three rectangular "cookies" in it. I had them for dinner last night. The instructions on the foil pack warn against drinking Salt Water, etc. Now understand that our Army has boats also.

Came rancid...
Made the mistake of not reading the description, over a year out of date, completely rancid and left a bad taste in my mouth. Not their fault as it was mentioned in the description, just kind of disappointed that I spent 20$ on two ranc food rations.
