I read in some review that in the rear view camera mirror, the image does not look good in the reversing mode during the day. I think this is due to the reflection of the sun light comming from the rear glass in the rear view camera mirror and I found that this effect is eliminated by simply switching the rear view mirror camera to the night positionwith the lower buttom when the reverse is activated during the day. By night, it works vwey well.

When received, the small clip that holds the camera had a crack in the metal. After installing, the metal became fatigued and within a few days, broke off. The rear view mirror had lines in the monitor where 5 entire rows of pixels were missing. Of course, this was not discovered until after the holes had been cut in my bumper and wires installed throughout the car. I asked the vendor to replace just the rear view mirror. I was able to fabricate a new bracket for the camera. I got no reply. So, as the window of returns closed, I removed the mirror, camera, control unit and what wires I was able to retrieve boxed them up and sent them back I have a feeling this company will try to deny the return and stick me for the entire $75. This is definitely an inferior product. The display is very faint and in the least amount of daylight the display is difficult to see, even when I adjust the brightness. There is absolutely no customer service. The box of parts came with a drawing and a paragraph of instructions in broken English. In fact there are several drawings for different models. It is up to you to determine which drawing to try and decipher.

at the meantime, rating stays at 1 star, as camera not working properly.Update:I found the issue, when you install it you need to drive power from the backup light to the mirror.This is done by a cable attached to the video cable, then connect the other end to the power cable of the mirror.What missing is a ground. You need to run another cable (the attached power cable is not long enough) to the ground on the back or attach it to some metal screw on the car.Support from the company seems non existent.Mine works now.

Works perfectly mirror looks like an actual mirror when screen is off ( I had one that had a “mirror” that was basically a sicker) only complaint is that it Picks up slight terrain anomalys. Installed on a suburban 2001 cables reached comfortably I did have to buy a bit to install sensors because of metal bumper.

Have sent email to request a replacement, so far they have indicated that we can get a replacement.
