Charles (Joseph Mazzello) has no idea what he's in for when his Grandfather, Stoney (Peter Fonda), comes to Minneapolis for medical treatment. A pampered, big-city kid, Charles has a difficult time relating to this old man from a sheep ranch. But when Stoney's pal Shuck (Kris Kristofferson) shows up to break him out of the hospital, Charles is swept up in the adventure of a lifetime. From a stolen hearse to a wild, hilarious race back to the Badlands of North Dakota, Charles learns to be a "wooly boy" and appreciate his roots. This funny, heartwarming story underlines the power of family and friendship and shows us that it's never too late.

I laughed & I Cried!
This was one of the most hilarious & saddest movies I think I have ever watched here on Amazon. I laughed my butt off during some of the scenes and cried during others. Peter Fonda and Kris Kristofferson played their parts to perfection--they were great! This would be a great family movie for families with children 10 and above. Not that there is anything in it that younger children shouldn't see, I just don't think that they would understand some of it--it would be a little deep for them. I appreciate that there was very little cussing (and no F-words at all!) and no sex scenes--just a fun movie for almost everyone.

Good Movie about North Dakota
Loved it... Made in North Dakota.! Awesome. Enjoyed the movie. Done with heart. Enjoy stories that show life in North Dakota. I spose there ard men like the Wooly Boys.I enjoyed it. Never did get to see much of Western North Dakota. Grew up in the Eastern part of the state, and relatives had cattles farms there. Some had sheep but never really saw that many.

Wooly Boys
If you've ever lived in the raw northern states of North/South Dakota, Iowa, Montana, Utah, Minnesota, then you have to find heart in Wooly Boys. Yes, it's a little slow, but the actors can't be beat, and for the baby boomer generation who really grew, and knew, that life style it was so fun. It just peeled back layers of years from me. Things I had forgotten we had done as kids and how much things have changed. Yes, it was great that his grandson experienced his life. Nothing can compare to hands on experience, nothing!!!!! We depended on each other. There were no fancy computers, phones, headsets etc. We knew the people around us, we knew our animals, we knew our enemies, and we knew our friends.

Funny and good
Wasn't sure what to expect from this movie. It was at times sad but at other times the dialogue between Kris Kristofferson (Schuck) and Peter Fonda (Stoney) and Joseph Mazzello (Charlie) was absolutely hilarious. There are so many classic lines that could come from this movie. Not what I expected but very refreshingly funny and good. The sad parts will make you sad, but the funny parts really lighten up the movie. Would recommend to anyone wanting a good, fun, movie.

Surprisingly Funny
Comical. If you're OK with old geezers saying "hell" and "dam it" it's good for the family. No sex, no kissing, no full body nudity, vulgar language and one or two scene(s) where the hurst driver is left wearing his boxers. ( I think he also had a tank top on too - can't remember) The old guys definitely break the law on more than one occasion.

Not a great movie, but a lot of great actors.
Two sons of great actors in this movie together...Kind of coolHenry Fonda's son Peter. John Carradine's son Keith. Also, please don't overlook the great young actor Joseph Mazzello. He is one of the best of our generation. (see the HBO series, "The Pacific") Remember he was the little boy in "Jurassic Park"...."Radio Flyer" and many others

Good movie
It is an excellent movie with many funny moments, some sad ones and some silly ones. Overall it was very entertaining. We watched it many times and each time we enjoyed entertaining tidbits that we missed the previous times.

Enjoyed it very much!
Really enjoyed the movie. Had some of my favorite actors in it that you don't see so much anymore. Also you didn't have to listen to the filthy language that they think they have to use so that people will watch. I'm just an old fashioned country girl that doesn't use or listen to that talk. Loved it.
