Bright, yet diffuse and easy to look at!
What a bargain! Installation was easy with good installation instructions. The light is bright, yet diffuse, while lighting every corner of my living room. It will also be easy to flip down (It has frame restraints so it can’t flip over). I can’t praise this product enough. I recommend this for any room that needs full lighting with no glare.

A Professional's Take on the Lithonia CPANL 2x4
As a licensed electrician, I've installed countless light fixtures, and the Lithonia Lighting CPANL 2x4 is one of the more solid LED panels I've encountered. This isn't just a simple light; it's a professional-grade solution that delivers on its promises, particularly for commercial or workshop applications. The installation process is what sets this unit apart. The fixture is lightweight, which is a major plus when working overhead. It comes with a direct ceiling mount kit, and while some online reviews have noted a flimsy bracket, I found that when secured properly with all four anchor points, it provides a stable and reliable mounting platform. The hinged design is a clever feature, allowing you to hang the panel for hands-free wiring. My only minor gripe is that the pre-stripped wires could be a little longer to make connections in the junction box easier. The ability to switch between 120V and 277V is a huge convenience for a contractor, giving it a versatility that's perfect for both residential and light commercial jobs. In terms of performance, the CPANL is impressive. The adjustable lumen output (ALO) is a fantastic feature, allowing you to select between 4,000, 5,000, and 6,000 lumens. This is excellent for tailoring the light level to a specific room, whether it's a bright workshop or a more subdued office. The selectable color temperature (SWW) is equally useful, giving you a choice of 3500K, 4000K, or 5000K to match existing lighting or the client's preference. The light output is smooth and consistent, with no noticeable glare or hot spots. The 80 CRI is standard for this class and provides good color rendition for most applications. The build quality is what you'd expect from a reputable manufacturer like Lithonia. The aluminum frame feels durable, and the sealed design prevents light leak. The integrated LED design means there's no need to worry about bulb replacements, and with an L70 rating of 60,000 hours, it's a fixture that will last a long time. Overall, for its ease of installation, adaptability, and high-quality light output, this is a product I would confidently recommend to other professionals and use on future projects. It's a reliable workhorse.

Worth the money and has a low profile.
Easy install. Low profile. Bright. Am going to install another now that we found a second live outlet. Great deal.

Good Lights - Be careful during installation
These work well and look great! Installation using the Direct Ceiling Mount Bracket was a little tricky. There are 2 small tabs on the top of the light (shown in photo) that need to be inserted into the Direct Ceiling Mount Bracket. When I inserted the tabs into the DCMB, one of the tabs broke off (the small screws were pulled out of the light fixture). Upon inspection, these screws didn't have much length to attach into the light fixture frame. I took off the remaining tab and then glued them into place with Super Glue. After 5 minutes, I put a drop of Super Glue into each screw hole (one at a time) and re-installed the short screws. They aren't coming out! The repaired light panel was inserted into the bracket without any problems. Wiring is fairly easy while the fixture is hanging from the tether cables. Then you push the fixture up to the ceiling and close the 2 small latches to attach it to the bracket. There is about a 1/4-to-1/2-inch gap between the fixture and the ceiling. Other than the tabs breaking off, this is a really good fixture! I would take 5 minutes to add longer screws and Super Glue the tabs before you mount them on the bracket.

Good lighting for an ok price
I had previously bought a pair of off-brand lights like this with similar brightness and color but at less cost. Unfortunately, those suffered shipping damage, and I didn't want to mask the damage or take a chance on replacements also experiencing the same. They were returned. This unit is more expensive for essentially the same feature set, but I was concerned whether it would also suffer similar damage. While the outer packaging is pretty much the same, the inner packaging is better. There are some seemingly insignificant cardboard "brackets", for lack of a better term, wrapping the corners and middle of the fixture. These appear to have provided sufficient protection - in my case, at least. Unit arrived undamaged despite some of the typical exterior abuse that large packages receive from our fine US shipping companies. Install is pretty straightforward. Other reviews have covered that. It can be done mainly by one person, but a second helper is useful at least for holding the base bracket for marking and initial loose-mounting. Probably the "hardest" part of the entire installation is ensuring the unit is square with the room. And that's not even a problem if "close enough" is close enough for you. The 2ft x 4ft unit I got is super-bright. Especially when compared to the terrible 3-bulb frosted glass enclosure I had before (and the utterly weak type A bulbs generally available these days). Installed in a home kitchen with darker colors and a 9ft ceiling height. So much easier to see now. I'm using the middle color option, whatever that is. I prefer the "yellower" end of the spectrum, but wife doesn't like that. She prefers the other end of the spectrum, but I don't like that. Middle is a good compromise of color and actual brightness vs. perceived brightness. Some things to consider: - Some people might feel this larger unit to be _too_ bright for smaller areas with brighter colors. One of the smaller units might be better in those cases. - For a direct ceiling mount, your ceiling and upper areas of cabinets or walls might seem dark. That's just something you'll have to suffer due to the nature of the unit. It's a "down-firing" LED panel with enclosed sides. The effect is probably more of an eyeball-contrast adjustment artifact than a real thing. - Other reviews have mentioned the gap between unit and ceiling when doing the direct ceiling mount method. It's real and noticeable. If you're the type to obsess over such things, a different type of fixture may be better for you. My unit has a flaw where either a portion of the LED strips are loose and dangling or the diffuser panel is slightly indented. The result is a brighter stripe that's maybe 1/4 inch wide by 1 inch long towards one of the corners. I saw this before installing and still chose to keep the unit. It's not distracting enough for me to deal with returns and replacement, and my bet is that normal people won't ever notice it. If you're a business shopping for drop-ceiling options, I'm betting this will work great for you. It's worth ordering a single unit to test. Overall, I like it. My experience has been good enough that I'll shop for the same brand/model for other lighting upgrades that I'm planning. I have some other smaller rooms that need improvements, but they'll get the smaller sizes.

Very bright and they improve my garage.
Nice product. Three light settings for the perfect light. I put two up on my garage and they bake a big difference

Worked perfectly
Had two similar but from another company in our kitchen. They were supposed to be Alexa compatible when adjusting brightness and color. For four years they had the most glaring bright white possible, and never connected to our smart house. Then they began intermittently blinking. Total disaster instead of getting any customer service, so we found these. Not only did they fit our extant framing, but the light was the warm white we all missed, and it has always been consistent since installation several months ago. I waited before reviewing to be certain. They remain perfect for our purpose!

nice area light for kitchen
The light itself, nice. slim profile, easy install. Like the adjustable color. However, the star reduction is for a dent in the edge. I thought it would not be very visible once up. I was wrong. I didn't catch that not only was the trim creased, the whole edge was bent. Now I fixate on it every time I go by. Was it manufacturing defect, or delivery. Don't know. The outside box looked rough. But inside box looked fine. What makes me wonder is that this is the second Lithonia light with similar damage.

Bright, Beautiful Light Panel
As this was an open-box return, I received this product slightly damaged and partially assembled at a good discount from Amazon. Paper installation instructions were not included, but they do give you a QR code to scan. Once downloaded, I found the instructions to be clear and straightforward. Installing the bracket that holds the panel against the ceiling for flush mounting will be easy for most of you. For me, I never know what new adventure awaits me once I'm through the drywall of the century-old house I live in. In this case, it was some strange, flaky press board that will neither hold a wood screw nor allow the supplied toggle bolts pushed into it to expand--but that's my cross to bear. The instructions and mounting kit for this product should work fine for those of you living in houses built to something post-dating the code of Hammurabi. I installed this in my kitchen. The light produced by this panel is beautifully even and quite a bit brighter than what I was getting from my old twin-fluorescent tube fixture. Because it's so bright, I recommend installing it with a good dimmer switch. The ability to adjust the colour temperature of the light to one of three shades is also really nice.

Great Quality, Price and Super Easy to Install!
Super easy to install, great features, sleek look and design, nice options, amazing for retrofit! The way they made these is brilliant, they've thought of everything to make it so straightforward to install. One single 5'1" female who only knows the bare minimum of electrical work installed in 30 mins. with no other person.

No instructions in box. Scannable QR brings you to The installation video which is clear and under 6 minutes. My spouse and I got this mounted and wired in about one hour. The lighting provided is wonderful.

Very nice panel.
Read instruction before mounting! its tricky and if the panel is uneven during installation because of the size, its gonna get stuck in the clips and your mind will blow out.. Read the instruction carefully, attach the recommended side of the panel first, then hook the metal helping wires on the other side to hold the panel near the ceiling and then proceed to wiring job with both hands. . Overall, very insane panel for the price, i have 6 different lithonia panel at home and i really love their product they are well priced and good quality and very well made. totaly recommend lithonia, and most important the look is perfect, very industrial commercial and quality. one thing to note is on 6 panel i received the full hardware only with few panel, it didint matter to me cause i had some in my workshop but keep in mind, its a good idea to have extra grommet and small mecanical scew 2 inches diff size and lenght if you plan to be a happy tasker at home.
