Two of my children have ones and they’re used every single day! Car rides, quiet time around the house, bedtime, even while they play outside. There are a few fairy tales that scare my toddler so we skip those but otherwise this is a great collection of classics and has a lot of variety without being overwhelming or difficult to use! I’d recommend it to anyone over age 4. :)

I bought this for my 5-year-old daughter who loves story time. At first I wondered if she might be too old for it, but she absolutely loves it. The stories are mostly classics, but they are read with expression and keep her interest well. She also likes the little songs and poems that are included. The toy is easy to use, for both me and my daughter. I love that they included a volume dial with a range rather than simply a loud and louder switch like toys often have. There is a nice lullaby feature as well to let your kids fall sleep to some gentle music and a "timer" that lets you set how many stories they will hear before the unit shuts off. You can also set up a playlist of your child's favourites and record a story so they can listen to you reading to them. I was pleasantly surprised by the amount of material included - my daughter still hasn't worked her way through all of the stories. There is a feature to upload more material from the website, but we haven't used that yet since she is still happy with the included content.I really like that this occupies her with something that she loves without her staring at a screen. I feel the need to say that this has in no way replaced regular story time for us (and I wouldn't want it to,) but it has definitely increased the number of stories and the variety she gets to hear each day.The only negative is that it goes through batteries quickly, but it is also getting a lot of use so I don't mind getting a set of rechargeables. If you were packing it for a car trip or something, I'd be sure to have some extras on hand.I would recommend this as a gift for a small child, particularly one who loves story time. The price point is great for the content provided. This will definitely be a go-to gift for me for the young ones on my list this year. Though I might also toss in a set of rechargeable batteries.

We brought this product to replace our same one that broke. Unfortunately our old one could record 5 songs and this one only records 1. My son is extremely disappointed, very upsetting. Would Never buy again.

I bought this for my toddler, and he immediately loved it. The stories are engaging and easy to use. I can also record my voice in it. Since I prefer my son not to use a mobile phone, this is a great alternative.Improvements needed:- The light is too bright in a dark room.- Users should be able to record at least three times. Currently, only one recording is allowed for up to 10 minutes, which could be divided into three shorter recordings.

My son got this for Christmas, 6 months ago. He still uses it almost daily. I love that it has classic stories and songs that aren't tied to popular characters. The only downfall is that it is not rechargeable. We bought rechargeable batteries though.
