Hot Spring Spa 2 Position Diverter Valve - 71494

Fits perfectly into Hot Springs Prodigy - took about 1 minute to replace. Note the retaining clip is sold separately. When I removed the old valve I noticed there was no clip in the original so it really was not a big deal.

Part worked just fine. Install tip: The two smaller o-rings need to be inserted and seated in the white piece before you install the other parts. Unlike other reviews, mine came with lubricant. No more leak, easy fix.

assumed it would come with replacement spring retainer. so if your retainer is in poor condition you will want to replace while installing the valve,other than that fit fine.

Thin layer of grease on the valve and a good layer on the o ring are needed. Otherwise when you push it in the large o ring will slip off that white plug, lodge itself between it and the wall of the pipe, and everything will get jammed up until the caught o ring piece snaps or deforms creating a leak point. I don't think the instructions convey how important this is. I had to get a replacement o ring and try a 2nd time due to inadequate grease.

Has everything you need to install and it took about 10 minutes. You still need the tools and snap ring pliers are a must.
