Ok as my aforementioned headline stated I almost never leave reviews on products unless they REALLY persuade me one way or the other in terms of quality. Obviously, you can see I gave this product FIVE MASSIVE STARTS so lemme tell ya why.1. It's super duper easy to put on, and I'm not talking lulu lemon align yoga pants easy, I'm talking as easy as it was to put away half a jar of Trader Joe's cookie butter in a single evening last week. This stuff goes on just like lotion, and it's white so you can see exactly where it's going. ADDED BONUS - it takes a little rubbing to soak it all in so you have a little more time to make sure you're applying it evenly as opposed to the foam-type "wet" self tanners.2. It only took one application to see a noticeable difference in my (fair-ish) skin tone. I applied once out of the shower, went to bed and woke up completely forgetting I had applied it until I put my contacts in and looked in the mirror. DAMN, I was looking goooooood yennowhatimsayin. I went ahead and applied one more layer that night to even myself out and get just a little bit deeper color and it was PER-FECTION.3. IT DOESN'T COME OFF ON MY CLOTHES. I really, really hate this about spray tans and other self-tanners. I work out about 5 days a week and not a bit of this tanner came off on my clothes or shoes. I also woke up drenched in some horrible night sweat the other night (TMI, I know, hormones ladies I know you get it) and it didn't leave anything on my sheets. Truly impressive. Such wow. Many magic.Anyway, 10/10 recommend this product. Especially for the price. Def will buy again.

I was looking for a more natural self tanner and a friend recommended this one. Love it so far! The photo in the dark green tank is before. The photo in the lime green set is after. Gorgeous glow without looking orange. Easy to apply and I love that it doesn’t smell or stain. The thick lotion type solution makes it easy to tell where you have applied (it feels like rubbing in a thick sunscreen). It also feels really moisturizing.

Yes this will tan you over a few days. I saw some color after using it for 2 days. It has a luscious fruit smell that is very nice fresh and not perfume. it is a little bit oily at first because it is made from fruit oils, so don't over apply. you want to do this in layers day by day. To prevent streaking it's best to exfoliate even if you just use a washcloth and soap or body wash in the shower, and gently buff any dry skin from your body where you want to apply the tanning cream. It's best to use this in the day and to let it dry at least 30 minutes before putting on your clothes. I'm not sure if it would stain all that much but just to be sure that's what I do. You do need to rinse your palms thoroughly after applying the cream unless you wear gloves to apply it, or I would imagine it will tan your palms. if you do see streaks it's probably because you have not exfoliated well and you're applying it to very dry skin. The best time to apply it is after a shower or at least while your skin is moist. if you do see some streaks here and there I dip a cotton ball in some rubbing alcohol or witch hazel, and gently dab at the streak and it picks it right up. if the area feels a little dry after doing that simply dab on a little bit of moisturizer and you're good to go. It spreads on quite nicely. a little bit goes a long way. go section by section so you don't waste and so you get it on evenly. it's a fairly large tube for the price and should last a while.

Prioritize Blending with any self tanner. Wash your hands after to avoid blotchy self tanner hands.My skin tone gets quite fair in the winter and tans really well in the summer. A PNW olive base is what I have.With a fading summer tan I can apply once every two weeks, or less, to keep my summer complexion from fading completely. If you want more color, keep your skin moisturized before using and a little bit does go a long way. In other words, you can make this last awhile and get the dark bronze look if you want it.I love the color it gives my face, it looks like a subtle natural tan to me and allows me to feel confident without concealer. Again. Blend. Blend. Blend.Cons: it does have a weird smell that lingers and can get on clothes. But after a shower and a day it will go away.

I have purchased this product twice to be fair, and tried several different applications, and I am so disappointed in the time and money I wasted. I bought it to replace Tan Physics and/or Beauty by Earth, both of which have become so expensive I wanted to try something else. I applied the Botanic Tree Self Tanner as directed, after showering, allowing 20 minutes for it to dry before I went to bed. I used it two days in a row and wound up with a beautiful tan. I kept my skin moisturized after my next shower, skipped a day applying, then applied it again. The next day after my shower, as I was towel drying my skin, I noticed that the tanner was streaked on my legs where I dried off. I had ruined my tan by drying off after my shower, something that never happened with other tanners. Just to be fair, and since I already had my second tube, I went through the entire exfoliation process over a couple of days and tried the tanner again. It was the same scenario: a beautiful dark tan after three applications that came off after a shower when I skipped a day's application, even when I used lotion on my skin before drying off and blotted with a towel instead of rubbing dry. I am so angry at the time and money I have wasted, I wanted to be sure to warn others not to waste your money on this one.
