Can it calculate fev1 / fvc?

no, the device does not calculate this ratio because it does not measure FVC. It measures and trends Peak Flow (PEF) and the Forced Expired Volume at one second (FEV1)

My unit functions very inconsistently. At times out of 3 readings, I will register a 480, 20, 25. Other times, it will only register two of my three readings. I get too many readings in the 20s, then all of a sudden it will throw in a 520 etc., that I am not sure I can trust it anymore. I am currently shopping for another unit.
