Seem like quality tuners. Your experience may vary due to the cheap production but my experience has been great. Work well with little play. Incredible for how cheap they are.

It's been so long since I last picked up my guitar but I knew I needed to make some updates if I was going to be serious about it. I have a cheap Yamaha F-35 with even cheaper machine heads. I bought these to keep the price low and hope for a value. These have been phenomenal so far. They stay in tune, they feel like quality, and they look good while doing it. I think if you're looking for a cheap upgrade with a little bit of bang for your buck these are the way to go.

These look very well made but they don't fit my very standard guitar. One ones on my guitar stick out at a right angle. These point some degrees upward. This is my first time buying something like this. I assumed universal fit meant what it says. I'm returning them.

I ordered two sets. I checked all 12 tuners for smooth turning and threading the nuts. All were fine. I’ve not mounted them on an instrument yet, but these seem to be better than others I have gotten in kits that are similar in appearance. Smooth turning without binding.I don’t know how good the screws that were provided are, but they gave 6 to a set (I’d like to get 7 because they’re easy tto strip or lose, but that’s asking a lot).They come with “guitar strap buttons”, a seemingly random addition. My rating doesn’t consider them.I’d rather get a few extra screws instead!Update! I have used these on 3 ukulele builds. They worked great so I’m am here to order more. When installing, measure the diameter of the boss that goes into the head stock at its base, not the end. It has a slight taper that could make assembly difficult if you drill too small. I used 25/64” and had to file the holes a bit to get them in without forcing, so 13/32” drill might be best.

Easy to install and great value! When ordering please make sure you double and triple check the measurements on your guitar so that you are not off by an eighth of an inch, which was my case. I ended up replacing only one peg as it was a perfect fit, the others were off. The reviews indicated my guitar as a perfect match but I was the lucky one and received pegs that were a bit off. Aside from that, great quality.

I first ordered a set of these that we're colored black (I wanted chrome) because the pictures showed the back mounting hole at a 90 degree angle, which is tough to find with inexpensive tuners. Well, they arrived and were identical to the chrome ones; no 90 degree mounting hole. I was disappointed and contacted the seller, whom prompty responded, explaining that they'd used a different distributor for the black ones not realizing the product wasn't the same as the picture, and offered a full refund for the inconvenience, with no need to return them. Great customer service, in my opinion.Since I wanted the chrome ones to begin with I went ahead and ordered a new set, which I received quickly. I had to drill some new mounting holes in the back of the headstock of my Epiphone SG Special to make it work, as the previous holes were not quite lined up correctly. I'd already reamed the main tuner holes to 10mm as would be needed to make the guitar have standard sized tuner holes. These tuners installed easily and accurately, and look very nice on this guitar.I then put on some new strings. I could immediately tell that these new tuners we're drastically better than the stock ones that came on this guitar (which were awful). Got it all tuned up, stretched the strings out, tuned again then played. Wow!!! The guitar stays in tune a million times better than it used to. I'm now finding myself playing this guitar way more often and enjoying it like I never have before.I was not expecting these inexpensive tuners to actually be a real upgrade, but they really are. I'll update this review if anything goes wrong, since I've only had them a short time, but so far I'm incredibly impressed. I'm thinking I may install my extra set on an old acoustic that's been in my garage for awhile, see if it'll bring new life to that as well.

The tuners are fine but the supplied screws are very soft in fact one broke in half in my headstock and is nearly impossible to remove now.

These are excellent machine heads for the money. I highly recommend them.
