These are speaker stands and do not include the actual speakers. The product is a pair of speaker wedges for angling your existing speakers. The speakers pictured here are one of the types that fit.

What size do you recommend for a speaker base of 5.5" by 6"?

That's the same base size as my speakers and the small works very well. It's smaller than the base but the speakers sit on them sturdily.
