You might get away with water bath canning (e.g., jelly, pickles), but the lids are so flimsy they buckled at 10 psi when I canned some soup. The seals seem to be holding; but I'll report back if they don't! Next time I will try another brand, but it won't be Ball or Kerr. The price is over $3/dozen where I live, and I simply won't pay that much for wide-mouth lids (when they're available at all).

I bought these at a great price but with some hesitancy bc of other reviews. I tried them out right away, using the pressure canner. Out of 9 jars, all 9 sealed and everything looks fine! So far so good-no issues at all!Also, just for interest sake, I weighed one of these lids, one Ball brand lid, and one Walmart "mainstays" brand...all 3 weighed exactly the same on my kitchen scale (6g)I knocked off one star, for 2 reasons--one being I would prefer that they were NOT made in China, though I did know that before ordering. Secondly, since I only used 9/180 lids, I cannot fairly review the other 171 at this pointThat said, I am quite pleased with these lids so far and unless something happens to change my mind I would definitely purchase again.

Very smooth and durable glass, just like the mason mason jar but without the annoying branding on the glass and cheaper. Also a very decent size - not too big or small. I use it for storing sauce, spice and also canning. It was very well packaged and love the labels that come with it. Overall, highly recommend if you are looking for alternatives!

Used this to start my elderberry syrup business and the seal for the jar was great and no leak even the syrup is moving around. The size is great and the overall grip was easy. The seal and lid was tight and all the jars came in nicely protected and packaged

I bought these generic lids to do all of my dry canning. Since using generic lids for canning seems to a little risky I have decided to use my Ball/Kerr lids for wet canning and these for dry canning. They work just fine. When you compare them to the Ball/Kerr lids they look a little thinner. I am just not willing to risk it.

After 3 attempts using new canning lids, 2 out of 5 jars did not seal. I tried using ball lids and reprocessing and still did not seal. Would not recommend this purchase. I am past the return window, but disappointed in product

I am returning these lids after using on 2 cannings.I have been canning for 40 years and have never had lids fail. These lids have lifted and creased the entire length, resulting in 6 out of 14 jars failing. I DO NOT recommend this product.

I was finished canning for the season, but ran a test with two lids. They sealed well. They are made with minimal but adequate silicone for the seal. For the price, excellent value and would highly recommend.
