Root Mushroom FarmLiquid/spawn Culture wide mouth jar lids (with ring, pack of 6)

Good quality. Way waaaaay over priced. Much cheaper to make your own. I only picked these up cause I was in a pinch and being lazy.

I bought 2 packs of 6 lids and all 12 held up in the pressure cooker (instant pot). I am happy with my purchase. And would purchase again. Only negatives is the price of materials vs selling price. Yes you could do it yourself for less, but it probably won’t look as clean as these.

I use the lids for wide-mouth jars that are filled with sterilized popcorn. Great for all types of mushroom production. I like to use the lids for producing Lion's Mane mushrooms in my kitchen. Lion's Mane, grow a new brain! Also good for Shitake, Nameko, Pleurotus (Oyster spp.). These lids are old friends at our farm.

I really did not want to be bothered with making my own self healing injection ports so I ordered these. They’re airtight, I’m pretty sure, because the rye berries did not mold—nor did any mycelium grow. Maybe they’re too airtight? I don’t know, but this seemed like a failed venture to me.I could be wrong. It just seems like if there were rye berries in the jar, and even if my spores were no good, there was at least some water in those syringes, so if there was airflow, wouldn’t mold have at least grown?I really don’t know, but I can tell you that out if six jars inoculated, nothing grew, not even mold.

I have these in use rn and have zero contamination problems over the course of 2 months. Reused a set and still works.
