Jameson Full Size Powder Blue Electric Guitar With Tremolo

I gave one star even though I am very happy with it now after doing all the work that I did to it, but I am a trained Luthier and owned and operated JDS- Guitars. The appearance of the guitar is excellent, at least the one I got was, but I found not one, or even two, but SEVEN HIGH FRETS! This was not an issue for me I marked and did a complete fret dressing on the guitar took me about an hour. So at my shop rate and what I charged dressing frets before I retired the price of the guitar just went for $77.00 to $177.00. The neck was not set properly so all the saddles were almost as low as they could go to make it playable, again at my shop rate for a neck set on a strat which in this case means building a shim is $150.00 so now the guitar price has go from the original $77.00 to 327.00. Now that we have reset the neck and raised the saddles where they should be it plays out of tune because the intonation is way off, no big deal I can handle it I am a luthier right, but are you? So and intonation is $50.00 in my area and is what I charged, so or $77.00 guitar has just jumped to $377.00, but it looks good. Now the guitar plays and sounds as it should and I love it. Hope this review on this guitar helps, that doesn't mean they will all be like this. Remember it is always a gamble when you can't play and hold the guitar before purchase so be prepared to do or worse have some work done on it.
