Um... I didn't realize I was purchasing Mary Poppins bag! The bag is HUGE! You can fit everything in it: books, laptop, makeup bag, a water gallon, your god killer sword and shield...

Reading how the description discusses a zipper closure, we assumed that meant that the top zipped closed completely. I wish that we would have seen the one review that mentioned that this is not the case. The zipper only covers part of the top, which is definitely not what we were looking for. The picture shows it. We were looking for the security of a complete zipper closure, so we're not sure what we'll think about this when we use it.It also looked small when we unpacked it, much smaller than it seemed to look in other pictures.We got this for an upcoming trip and don't want the hassle of returning it at this point, so we'll see how it goes and will update.UPDATE: We've liked it more than we expected. It's definitely larger than it seemed, and fit everything that we wanted to put in it. Looks nice, more stylish than a regular tote. The 3 inside pockets worked well. We've been using it often since our trip, both due to the looks and that it works well. The lack of a full zipper is still a problem. Granted, we weren't often looking to have it zipped, but for those few times, not having to worry about stuff sneaking out the gaps would be nice. Also, it's not easy to do a quick zip. With the zipper extension, it really takes two hands to zip - one to hold the extension, and the other to zip. That zipper extension can also get in the way of putting stuff in/out, since it stretches across the bag when the bag is held open.UPDATE #2: Just wanted to add in that 2 years later, this is still our go-to tote bag on a daily basis. It holds a ton, is very durable, and the 3 pockets are enough to hold those smaller items. It still looks new too. We still have the same issues with the partial zipper and the hassle of dodging the zipper when the bag is stretched open, but overall those are minor. Definitely recommend it!

Love this bag. It's big enough to hold my books for nursing school plus wallet, keys, water, everything! It's sturdy and the straps are comfortable. I just wish there was support on the bottom. I had to add a piece of cardboard wrapped in cloth to the bottom of the bag for fear that my text books might puncture a hole. Although I don't think that would happen for years because the material is thick. See photos for an idea of the size.

I bought this so I have a bag big enough to stuff my knitting into and I LOVE IT! Great quality material, perfect size and looks classier than a reusable shopping bag that I was previously using lol

Looks exactly as pictured. The color is definitely a strong charcoal grey even though the name says black, but that can be seen from the picture. The straps are a tad short in my opinion, but not enough to be unusable by any means (just enough to be annoying if you prefer longer straps). The bag is extremely roomy and the canvas is good quality.

This is my "work bag" because I have binders and work materials I have to carry to work and I just don't want to tear up a nice purse. This is indestructible, and honestly could be made really cute if I took it to get it monogrammed. It's a great bag and I'll probably buy another one for a gift for that one friend that I never can pick anything out for and I'll monogram hers.It's huge. The material is thick and sturdy. It looks very modern and cool. It has pockets, zippers, etc. I love it, I'm very happy.

Love this bag. It's basically a jean like material. It expands from the bottom and makes it pretty deep and it's already kind of wide. I keep my anatomy textbook in here, which is huge. Along with my notebooks my stethoscope, my wallet, and I still have space for more. I switch it out when I'm headed to the pool and put two towels inside along with my lotion and water bottle, and phone Etc. I accidentally left it out in the rain one day, and it made it out alive. The photo is about a week after that happened.

I love this bag! It's huge without looking like it is. I can pack for a weekend in it easily with no worries since it has a zipper closure. The bottom is really wide but the pleated style of the bag covers the fact that you're carrying a small suitcase on your shoulder.

Really good string canvas. Brass details are lovely. It has a large amount of space but you don't have to worry about hoking around the bottom of your bag looking for stuff as their are three hand internal pockets. One zipped, one phone holder sized (though I have fit my water bottle in it so it is spacious) and one similar styled pocket but larger (I have a 498 page book in there, again spacious). Also came with this little leather earphone holder which I have lovingly gifted to my partner as the bag is big enough that I can start carrying my normal headphones around.

Handle is not as long as i exected, but i am still very happy with my purchase. It doesnt look so big, yet you can put loads of stuff in it. The cable holder is life changing! I just love this bag.

I am absolutely in love with this bag! I purchased it because I wanted something somewhat large to use to take to Germany on short trips, and it's really exceeded my expectations. The bag is stitched very well, made of a thick and quality material, and the size is perfect.You could easily use this as a normal every-day bag, use it for university or studying, as a gym bag, or use it for trips like I will. I cannot fault a single thing about it. Its great value for money, well made, looks good and is the perfect size.

I bought this wanting a big bag to take to work which I could carry my lunch and all the other bits I might need. I also wanted it for weekends, as I have 2 children and ending carrying everything for them - and my husband come to think of it! Hence I needed a big bag. This bag is really big and you can get tons in it. Great for when you pop into the supermarket and forget to take a carrier bag. It fits loads of groceries in. Very sturdy and I really love the design. 1 zip up pocket inside, plus 1 mobile pocket and another pocket.Definitely recommend this.

See this bag! It is amazing! I 100% recommend it if you carry everything including the kitchen sink in it! I needed a large bag to carry my laptop, the bits that go with it, as well as my usuals, like purse, random assortment of rubbish that materialises, notebook & pens, small make up bag and usually some form of food and it fits! All of it fits! Yeah, it looks a bit bulky once filled but who cares if you're managing to fit everything into one bag! The straps have maintained their strength and I've used it as a business trip away bag on airplanes as well and it's been a dream! Think of that extra plastic bag full of 100ml bottles and such! It still fits! I just love this bag 😊
