This unit is an FR-301-81 which is the version for Japan with a supply voltage of 100v. If you want the US version its FR-301-03/P which has a supply voltage of 120v.

Is there is difference between a hakko fr-301 and hakko fr-301-03p?

The FR-301 is the base tool while the FR-301-03P is the base tool with a specific size tip included.

Yes, it does come with a hard plastic gray carrying case.

Will this work with a ksgr soldering iron base ?

not sure which model ksgr you have but i use the GJ ST-90 pro station and it is a larger base and works great...I bought one on amazon for 33.00 dollars
