Saved my leaking frameless shower door
I have a frameless shower door that has the plastic sliding thing at the bottom of the door that’s supposed to prevent leaks out but unsurprisingly the whole lake of water always managed to follow the grout lines straight out of the shower onto my floor. I adhered this all along the bottom of the doorway with clear silicone and it fixed the problem I’d just been mopping up for five years. I wish I had done it sooner. I was sure to use enough clear silicone to adhere really well and fill in all those grout lines under it, (my shower doorway is tile) and then wiped up the residue that oozed out. FYI for anyone who hasn’t done it before silicone is very sticky when you’re trying to use it so it can be helpful to tape off where you don’t want the silicone to go. Meaning, set down the strip, tape off around it with a little margin, fill that now taped off area with silicone, squish down the bar, wipe off the edges, then remove tape.

Used my own caulk with the adhesion on the strip.
Seemed to be too much to pay for this product. However, it does work. No more water on the floor.

It works but size is not accurate
I wanted a low profile “dam” to prevent leaks from my shower. This one is pretty basic - just a hard strip of clear plastic. There is no adhesive tape or anything on it to hold it in down (the listing indicates it was not included) so you will need some clear silicon to hold it in place. I was expecting this to be more of a silicon/rubber strip but it is hard plastic. That isn’t necessarily a big negative just different than I thought it would be. The size listed in the description are unfortunately wrong. The description says it is 1/2” when it really is 3/8”. It says it is 1/4” high when it is closer to 3/16”. The width isn’t really an issue but the height could certainly be a factor for some users. The price seemed a little high but seems fairly comparable to other available.

Not effective
This dam was not effective for preventing water from escaping/leaking from my frameless shower enclosure. It cannot be returned, so I'll try and find some use for it. My shower door passes right over it either direction even though I only have a 1/4 inch gap.

Good Quality & Value
Good quality & Value. Easy to install and very strong adhesion. Used it to prevent water from coming out from under the sliding shower door.

Did not adhere
I purchased the one that was supposed to be self-adhering. It did not adhere* to my tile surface at all. I prepped the surface well by cleaning and drying it. It will not stick. And now if I wanted to try my own product to adhere it, it has all the sticky stuff on it and it won’t work. Waste of money.

Kept the water from coming out of my frameless shower—After four months the adhesive stopped working
Came with 3M adhesive applied. I cut it to fit with a hacksaw and glued it to the tile. It effectively kept the water from coming out of my frameless shower... But... after four months the adhesive stopped working and water is coming through. I'll need to buy a waterproof sealant to reattach it.
