Fast shipping and easy setup
Why I purchased: I honestly never thought I would need to buy a hardline phone set again. However, with my recent "package deal" with my cable provider a landline was included (and actually less expensive than not getting a phone line). So, I thought, "what the heck? I've got a phone line I'll buy a phone." I wasn't looking for top of the line, high functionality, but just a cheap and effective cordless phone. Shipping: I recently had a bad shipping experience with Amazon and a 2-day shipping product getting to me in two weeks. I honestly think that this order arrived at my house about 18 hours after I ordered it. That is probably the most exciting part of this order because I honestly don't know how it got here that fast. Quality: You get what you pay for, which is perfectly fine for me! It may just be because I haven't owned a cordless phone in a while, but the components, while effective, do seem a bit "light" and not as solid as something that you would probably pay more for. The buttons are a little sluggish in that it isn't like a smartphone in that you get the immediate feedback. Not a big deal but it is something that I noticed. Setup: Very, very easy with clear instructions. No issues. Features: I plugged it in and that was that. I have the ability to setup voicemail through my provider, but I just have not taken the time to do it and probably will not. Would I buy again? Yes. Good price point, easy setup and it works. What more could you ask for?

Nice Phones
Ordered these when I got hired for a work from home job that would have several weeks of remote training and then significant time taking calls. Most of the people who work for this company and are in this role or similar use their cell phones to connect to the company call center. I did not want to do that with my cell phone so I looked for a fairly inexpensive but 2 handset cordless phone. This phone had good reviews and the price was right. I am in my 4th week of training. I am very thankful that there are 2 handsets because while the battery life is very good, it’s not going to last an 8 hour day being constantly on. So about 4-5 hours in I have to swap out the phones. But considering the phones are on speaker for the entirety of the day, it’s pretty good battery performance. The sound quality is also very good. I am having to use my cell phone for incoming call training (since the company set it up this way) but once that is complete I plan to switch over to the phone line these phones are attached to. I have been told that I come in very clear and with good volume while on speaker, which is a relief because otherwise I would have to buy another phone that was headset compatible. Speaker & mute work very well and the ringer volume control is also a nice feature. I haven’t used all the features because I don’t need to. It’s a good phone if you want a simple use phone with a few extra bells & whistles. Suits my needs and I would recommend.

For the most part, these were very good for the first 2 years.
Let me start by saying I've had these phones almost 3 years. I've kept them because the quality out-weighed the problem. This phone doesn't beep when you are receiving another call for call waiting or display the caller ID of the new caller. It will sometimes have a skip in hearing when another call is coming through, but not always. Even if you recognize the skip as another call, it won't show you the caller ID of the 2nd caller. Very frustrating. So I have to either tell my current person to hold while I switch to see who it is, or just ignore the 2nd caller. Usually it will have the 2nd callers info on the caller ID when I've hung up. Now for the past 6 months, if I'm using the speaker phone, it is very hard to hear (even with the volume turned on high) unless it is set just right on a surface, with the speaker sitting 'just so' or else it is very hard to hear. I had to buy new batteries (very specific for this phone) after the first 16 months, now twice, as they don't hold a charge now for long. It gets great reception even at long distances (outside the house at at least 50 ft, and is very easy to read the window and the numbers clearly, and the ring is plenty loud. The sound quality is still very good (much better than cell phones - I have both) which is why I prefer home phones for placing and receiving home calls. I have had this phone for almost 3 years. I've had the problem with the 'call waiting' caller ID since the beginning. I complained about that and they sent me new phones but they have had the same problem. So I just kept them because the sound quality was great and the batteries lasted a long time (then). The call waiting caller ID was basically the only problem I had. I've had V-tech cordless phones since the beginning of cordless phones. They used to last a long long time, and the quality has been great. I've always loved them. They just started failing a bit here and there with this set, and that makes me wonder if I should change companies. Instead, I've just ordered a new set of V-tech (will receive tomorrow!) and hopefully, fingers crossed, they will be worth buying again. Or else it's time to move on...

I have finally found a cordless phone which meets all my requirements. In my 80 years, I have never praised an equipment. But this phone forced me to write about it. Fantastic, easy to install with more than required facilities for any user.
