TMJ. I have it. Chipped tooth, ER visit for jaw pain. Three custom grind guards from the dentist over the years. The most recent guard broke a couple months into pandemic lockdown. So I ordered a handful of different grind guards from Amazon to try and hold me over - this one, front teeth only, disposable, etc.I NEVER write Amazon reviews (who has the time?), but decided it was my DUTY to do so when I returned to the page to buy another one. Because this thing is just great. Hands down, an answer to my TMJ-suffering prayers. The SOVA people should be saluted for it, and if you aren't sure if it's worth it, I can tell you that (at least in my case), it was worth it 10 times over.Here's some highlights:- Easy to fit, and really comfortable. Also, SO COOL that you can REmold it to your teeth if the first try doesn't quite do it for you.- Mine lasted two years with nightly use. The only reason I'm replacing is because I've finally ground to the point it's scratching my cheeks. NOTE: This cheek scratching also happened with at least one of the dentist's guards. I did not grind through it - honestly, not even close - and I DID grind through at least one of the dentist's guards.- The cost was worth every penny. Especially after having paid over $100 dollars out-of-pocket in the past for a guard from the dentist.I'm very suspicious of Amazon reviews - especially positive ones. So to be clear, I'm an actual human person who did NOT receive anything in exchange for this review :) Sometimes a little thing can make a big difference in your life, and this guard has been that little thing for me, even though I never would have expected so when I was looking the first time.

Vraiment durable.Ceux vendus en pharmacie ne me durent pas 1 semaine.Celui fabriqué chez le dentiste dure environ 2 ans mais à 850 $$$Celui-ci a un mois et ne présente encore aucun signe d'usure.N'ayez crainte pour la taille, il s'ajuste bien malgré tout même si il semble petit au départ.Edit: 6 mois plus tard encore en très bonne condition.

This is my second one of these. I've had the first one for several years and decided to replace it, not because the original was worn out but because it just felt like it is something that should be replaced from time to time.I grind my teeth at night and my dental hygienist recommended this when I balked at buying a guard from the dentist for $800. She said these do the same thing for a lot less money. I can definitely feel the difference and the wear on my teeth has been much reduced.Molding them was a breeze. The included instructions were clear and easy to follow. The end result is a custom mouth guard at a fraction of the dentist price. Couldn't be more pleased.

Let me preface by saying that I have a large head and I have large teeth. When I got my wisdom teeth removed, the doctor said they were among the biggests he's extracted. My rear most molars are 12mm wide. My smile at the widest is 73mm.That being said, I really wanted this to work out. The molding process took forever because the guard didn't cover my rear molars. I found if you heat it up, then let cool slightly, then tug on it, you could stretch it a little without compromising the integrity of the material. Doing this I finally got it to cover my rear molars.Because my teeth are also wide, the bite pad portion is laughably small. Once heated and applied per instructions, it barely created an upward lip around my molars and front teeth. It looks comically small in my mouth once cured.Some of the holes in the material are enlarged after curing so I have serious doubts about the longevity of the product. At $32 dollars, you might be better off looking into the other options on Amazon to send out for professional sets.I'll mirror other reviewers here: It feels like it shrank a little and it is clamping what little it can on my front teeth. They feel like they are being moved in the middle of the night. My jaw hurts worse now than when I was using an athletic style night guard. I'll give it a week but first impressions are not good for such a premium price tag.
