You Can't Beat the Value of the High Quality Extra Wide Tail Bag by Badass Moto Gear!
The Badass Moto Gear Extra Wide Tail Bag is a great tail bag - especially for the price! I've seen less positive reviews that commented on thin material and structure that would result in a collapsed bag when not full, but that is NOT ACCURATE. I was concerned that I would be disappointed, but I'm VERY happy with the build quality and consider it to be impressively rugged and solid. When empty, the top will sag down slightly, but that's about it (and for an 18-inch wide soft bag with a nice wide lid, I think that's totally acceptable). All outer material strikes me as heavy duty. Behind the outer side pockets, the side walls feel hard and solid, providing good strength and support. Under the heavy duty outer material, the rest of the tail bag (i.e., bottom, rear, top and front) is built with protective, solid but flexible dense foam type of material (measures ~4mm thick, shock absorbing as it compresses slightly when squeezed hard). The zippers are impressively excellent, and the included mounting straps and rain cover are also high quality. The bag mounts using straps and the bag's four D-rings. D-rings are spaced 12" front-to-back and 12.5" right-to-left (measured center-to-center). Regarding some negative comments concerning the amount of effort required to mount this UNIVERSAL tail bag to their INDIVIDUAL bike, common sense should tell you that this is a universal bag that could require a little time and effort to mount in the best way possible to your INDIVIDUAL application. An affordable, high quality, rugged, large capacity tail bag with one large main compartment is exactly what I was looking for and I am TOTALLY SATISFIED. I cannot imagine finding a better deal!

nice bag, lousy mounting system
The bag is really great, well constructed and it holds A LOT of stuff. I as able to pack more than what I needed for a four-day trip. The logo is a bit much, but it's really not that big a deal. However, the straps are a challenge, even with the seller's instructions sent along electronically post sale. They are not easy to work with. Once I got the bag tightly secured (which took some doing), I needed to start all over when I removed the bag at my destination... which negated any convenience of the bag functioning as luggage that could easily be removed/reinstalled (my preferred method versus packing stuff into another soft bag that fits inside this one). It could be my tail rack is not well suited for this strap system (it's smaller than the bag, measuring 13x9). Still, straps that are more easily adjustable would have helped. I may experiment with some short bungee cords to see if those work better. So, nice bag, lousy mounting system (in my case, at least).

Nice and roomy inside I attached two of the straps ...
Nice and roomy inside I attached two of the straps to make one long piece to wrap around a back section of my bike to make it secure and used the other two straps to attach to passenger metal peg attachment. Always using the loop thru itself technique rather than relying on just the metal hooks. Sturdy material, for the price very happy. Today when shopping I had several things in their, hairspray, 4 roll toilet paper, one kitchen paper towel, and several other items, so the main compartment is a nice large size. I have a small bike Honda 250cbr so the bag looks a fraction big on the bike, but still looks good so I would highly recommend the bag. Side pockets are small, I have my gloves in one side, a mirror and sun cream and a comb in the other side. Good value. Going to try and attach pics so you get an idea of how roomy the bag Is and how it looks on a sports bike. Took pics of some grocerys and I was able to easily close the bag with room for one or two more small items.

Tie down system is junk/ trash
The unit itself is great the connection straps are pure trash, the metal hooks will scratch your bike/ tourpack and you can never get them to tighten up as well as the other type with the straps you can pull tight and have plastic clips and straps don't scratch. If you have the other type straps this works well. Well made product with junk straps. If you purchase this go ahead and get some straps somewhere else and you will be happy.

Not Bad @ $50.
It's roomy and simple. No bells or whistles. It needs to be full to keep its shape so it's not really an everyday bag unless you carry a lot of stuff everyday. The fabric is thin and the side pockets do not hold volume but okay for thin stuff like a cell phone. I bought it to carry a big laptop and I need to pad it up because the bag bottom is not padded at all. I would not have bought it if I saw it in a store first but at $50 I don't feel bad about not getting a high quality bag with all the bells and whistles.

Lots of room and nice fit
Absolutely gorgeous and fits perfectly. I have a rather uncommon indian motorcycle (Hero Karizma ZMR) and it fits perfectly. I use it to carry everything. I have an Acer Aspire V3-572g (15.6" screen, full dimensions: 381x257x31mm) and I can store it inside WITH my sleeve so it doesn't bump around. Ever with the sleeve on I still have about 1cm on each side of room left. It still has plenty of additional room for all the cables, mouse, jacket, etc. I absolutely love it. Only small thing I recommend is either you carry an additional strap so you can use the bag on or over the shoulder. (If the manufactures read this I would also suggest modifying the bag a bit so it's easier to carry it around or include an extra strap to carry it around).

Love this bag
Love this bag! I am thoroughly impressed at the cost of $47. It is a great weekend getaway bag. Very sturdy and holds a lot. I must say that I can understand how come of the other customers had a hard time with the hook up. After the purchase I received a very nice e-mail from the vendor which contained instructions and options for the hook up. And as indicated, some people will have to improvise based on their setup. For me the hook up worked well but I was limited where to attach the straps because my saddle bags were in the way. So I followed the vendor instructions and added two bungie cords which I ran from my foot pegs to the back of the bag. It never moved and provided a nice back rest for me.
