Handy Little Knife
I have had this knife for about a year now, and have worn it nearly everyday for the past 6 months using it almost daily as well for small tasks like opening packages, cutting food etc.It has held up well, the sharpness holds decently for light tasks and all you need to do is touch up the edges.I found the handle to be too skinny so I added some bank line to beef up the handle a bit and it feels a lot more comfortable now.If you have realistic demands for this small blade such as light processing tasks or self defense, then it will serve you well as it's light weight and doesn't get in the way often.

Great blade for price, came shaving sharp
I liked the idea of the pinky loop to hold the knife and then be able to let it swing and have your hand back when I first saw this knife. Was amazed that the blade came shaving sharp. Bye arm hair! Sheath is secure and intuitive to use when releasing the safety latch. Can be worn horizontally or vertically as a neck knife with include black chain. I opted to mount to the small Cold Steel C-Clips to attach to my belt or just to my pants wasted. I mounted mine in a diagonal position on my right hip, this way I can crouch, squat low, sit in a chair, and the blade or handle is never in the way or pinched my by ever growing dad gut.Great knife for cleaning & dressing trout or small game. For self defense, the knife can be flipped around so you have the loop on your index finger protruding. The gimping on the spine is smooth and provides a great comfortable grip for your thumb. Nice size choil for extra finer safety. If your looking at this knife and reading reviews, seriously just get it. The price of this great knife is the same as two 6-packs of good beer, and this knife will last at lot longer.I like this knife for fine detail work and carry a large 8" blade for chopping, cutting vegetables, meats, batoning, etc.Ok, if you made it through this, add to cart now.

Superior Quality
I have a few Cold Steel products. Most I use for hack and slash activities like a machete. War Sword, Kukris, etc. Mostly used for backpacking and at the cabin.I already have an exceptional half serrated pocket knife for standard activities and usage. This knife is a small super high quality utility + camping blade. Razor sharp and solid.I highly recommend this blade more detailed purposes. The plastic sheath work great and the O ring at the bottom makes sure you do not drop or mishandle it.I am not sure yet if the "necklace chain" is a good idea as putting it back in the sheath is a bit of a risk one handed or when unstable. I plan to purchase another one for my day pack and keep it in there always. Many tines I need a "razor" when out and about.

Bad sheath, bead blast is bad idea
I bought this rather impulsively and mindlessly because I have kind of wanted one for many years, I noticed it had a fairly low price, so I just clicked it. If I had thought about it more, I might not have bought yet another "bead blasted" knife. It seemed like this atrocity had waned in recent years and it wasn't fresh in my head as something to beware.Bead-blasted means they basically use a sand blaster on it rather than brushing or polishing. Some have a very fine texture, while this one is more on the rough side. All bead-blasted knives are prone to rusting even if they are "stainless" steel. The rougher the surface, the harder it is to get fully clean. This is all silly in general, and especially bad for a knife which is implied to be used for processing meat out in the field. I guess it's a little cheaper than doing a proper finish. The sheath is not good. It rattles a lot while in the sheath. The release tab setup is a good general idea for a knife you might wear it on a chain, but it has two problems. The part which bends is not so much a flexible length as it is the base of the tab. It feels like the plastic is almost at its limit when I press it enough to release. And the horizontal ridges which provide traction for your finger get caught on the sharp forward edge of the tang on the knife, so you have to press the tab all the way to insert the knife which makes replacing it a two-hand operation. You can't just shove it in. I mostly fixed this by grinding down that sharp tang edge and also shaving down some of the ridges on the sheath, but it's still not great. The edges of the handle area have a few slight telltale signs of the rough edge left over from being stamped out, so it doesn't really even look great if you like bead-blast finishes for incomprehensible reasons. It has the obvious appearance of having been stamped out and then sent straight to the blast stage without doing a good grind job in between.

Perfect neck knife
Perfect neck knife. Very lightweight yet useful knife. Placement of ring allows for actual pinkie or forefinger use unlike many versions which center the ring. The slim scales and jimping along the spine add lots of useful traction with minimal bulk. Secure-ex sheath with retention tab hold knife very secure, able to hang upside down in neck knife position with no fear of release, unlike others. Decent, not great but certainly not bad steel. Flat ground blade profile, doesn't really have a "flat" area directly above spine but was able to get a good clamp on my tormek jig on the flat stock area by the heel of blade. Lansky type sharpeners would prob work the same way. comes with ball chain lanyard. Great for tasks that would gum up your folder.

Sharp, light and the price is right!
This knife is perfect as a backup knife or as a "just in case" option when you can't easily bring a regular pocket knife. It has a comfortable and secure fit in my XL-sized hands and came surprisingly sharp right out-of-the box. The ring on the back of it does invoke "fighting knife" feelings but really it makes for an excellent little knife. It's light as a feather too.The sheath fit is decent and is very light and secure. I have absolutely no worries of this knife coming out while wearing it.The only thing is that it's pretty long for carrying it around the neck. I'm 6'5" and it fits me just right, but I don't think you can do it comfortably unless you're at least 6' tall. With that said, you can get a "small C-clip" that will adapt the Secure-Ex sheath for scout-style belt or pack carry (search for ASIN: B07N6X568N here on Amazon).All-in-all at this price point, this "Made in Japan" knife is an excellent value!

Messer sehr gut, Scheide Schrott

Doesn’t come with belt clips
Came hairshaving sharp, great light little knife. The sheath leaves a bit to be desired but it works

One of my favorites
I always liked this design. Cold Steel just made it better with the case and neck carry option. Well made knife. Great value.
