Very light and the colors were very nice.

Product was received as described. Tiles are a good size and solid.Only negative is that the trays are flimsy as is the plastic case, but overall good value considering the price.

I researched all of the mahjong options on Amazon before buying this one and I’m very happy with me purchase. This is a beautiful set of mahjong, and the Arabic numerals make it perfect for teaching friends who don’t know Chinese and sharing this wonderful game. The tile size is comparable to any standard mahjong set (like the ones used with automatic mahjong tables). They’re heavy and feel really nice in your hand, and the gold detail is lovely. A few tiles had some gold thread fraying out of them but nothing serious.The box is flimsy, and definitely can’t handle being carried by the little handle on top. Not sure how long it will be before it starts to fall apart — but the set itself is wonderful.

While the acrylic tiles seem to be of high quality and I really like the golden backs, the printing machine and assembly line they have must be pretty bad. A lot of paint where its not supposed to be, paint missing from where it is supposed to be, a lot of paint and scratches on the corners and a lot of tiles with deep scratches running from top to bottom. All the damage is limited to the character side of the tiles but the quality is still a bit disappointing for the price.

This set is beautiful, the painting was done well, no smudges. The only thing that is a negative is the case itself, made very poorly. It is very thin and falls apart. But I would rather have beautiful tiles then a carry case. I can find another case to transfer them over to. A must buy!!
