It’s solid metal with a flush mount for the wall. It’s 10&1/2 inches long. Ensure that the cover is not seen by the camera lens when mounting. If your cameras are pointed straight forward you might have to raise the cover to an impractical height to keep it out of the camera lens view. My cameras are pointed to the side, so ensuring no lens obstruction is easy. The longer length of the cover, and the bowl shape will better protect the camera from driving rain and snow. It’s a little expensive for what it is, but it’s better than making one yourself. I recommend as a buy.

I purchased this item last month to shade one of my home security cameras that is mounted on the back of my house in north GA. During summer months the sun shines mercilessly on that part of my home for most of the day (rear of home faces south) and I wanted to protect my home security investment. This metal shade is perfect, blocks out the direct sunlight without impeding the camera lenses and provides good rain protection as well. Installation was a breeze; 3 screws and it's done.

Works good but isn’t perfect. My Ring camera lens was getting covered in water every time it rained, which is very often lately. Problem is this doesn’t really help when it’s raining & it’s windy too, then the lens still gets wet & picture/view is blurry, but it keeps the majority of rain off the lens, so it’s better than nothing

This item was purchased to increase protection for a POE connection to an outdoor camera. Mind you, the type of camera I have is not one listed (see photo). The camera itself is rated for all weather. It is the connection to the cable I wanted to protect. Although I used the all weather cover for the previous cable, it was still damaged by rain... so, I sought out an improved cover and decided on this product. I've had it a few months. So far, no problems at all... even after a week of daily heavy rain. I'm very happy with my purchase.

Very firm and sturdy can protect from strong winds

There was no info on how close to the camera to place the cover, consequently the night vision was substantially reduced.

Easy to install, very rugged and works perfectly with my blink camera.

Very good product

Great little gadget works extremely well and protects my camera from the rain and snow. The camera used to get a little warm and occasionally a squirrel would sit on the camera now it’s great, no problem. I would recommend this.

It’s a lot more narrow once you see it in person I would say it’s like 5 inches wide. I also got the wrong screws so that was a letdown, but I made it work.It’s been up for over a month now, I hope it lasts.
