Sarah's Silks - Skytail Toy for Kids, 35" Long, Safe for Outdoor and Indoor Use - Shooting Star

My 5 year old loves running around with this toy, it's a cute imaginative toy. For the price though I'm disappointed it's already a little frayed on the edges and the silk feels very thin. Not sure how long it will last.

Another Sarah's Silks fantastical toy full of magic. I have four children of all different ages and we all love to play with this sky tail together. It floats through the sky like a dream and even bounces! A toy I will keep for my grandchildren and actually a work of art as well.

We love the playsilks we've purchased from Sarah's Silks so I decided to get this shooting star for my youngest's birthday. It is well weighted for arcing nicely through the air. We've only played with it indoors so far to try to keep it clean. My one criticism is that the "weight" seems to be a hard bouncy-ball-like sphere that can pack a decent punch if your older kids are being kids and decide to spin it like a propeller by the tail... It isn't too heavy, just a bit hard and it does also bounce slightly when it lands on hard surfaces. I think I would have preferred a bean-bag-type filling (which is what I expected) with a little more give and a more steady landing - but that may have been a safety decision on the part of the company. Overall, a beautiful toy for simple, joyful play.

I wanted to love this, but when I opened it I was disappointed at how cheap it feels. I would not be surprised if the stitching comes undone or if the star falls off. I keep telling my kids to be gentle with it. You shouldn't have to be gentle with an action toy. It wouldn't be so bad if I had only spent a few dollars on it, but I spent quite a bit more and expected higher quality.Update: it has torn a bit but the seller has offered a full refund. I'm adding a star for great customer service!

It’s cute and it looks like a shooting star wish is cool but it is a little pricey for what it is.

My 4 year old got this for his birthday LOVES this little shooting star (and so do his 8 month old, 2 year old, and 6 year old brothers). He runs around the house with the tail trailing behind and also enjoys throwing it through the air. Anything from Sarah’s Silks is always loved and appreciated in our house, and this did not disappoint.

Son was very happy with it. It soars nicely when thrown.

I had previously bought several playsilks and a streamer from Sarah's Silks for my kids, but the minute this skytail arrived, my daughter fell in LOVE with it and has been playing with it nonstop for two days. Soft, very pretty and apparently awesome to play with!The star is weighted, so it's heavy enough to knock over, say, a glass of water if it gets pegged hard enough. We had to make an outside-only tossing rule. If your kids aren't rambunctious, it's probably fine to play with in the house.
