Installation tips to keep you COOL!
When I put in my new grill gazebo I did not realize that its aluminum roof would gather heat during the day, making the inside pretty warm. I started researching outdoor fans and the iLiving was the best I found, either at the big box improvement stores, or online. This fan is terrific. I got the 14" and all three speeds are useful. The strongest is such a strong blast I normally use the middle setting. It comes with a long pull chain that is easily snipped to the size that works best for you. Let me answer some questions you may have:How long is the power cord?Six feet so you may need an extension like I did. For the best match, be sure you get a three plug round black cable in typical 14 gauge. I really like the inexpensive one from Woods also available on Amazon. It's a perfect match. Be sure you get an extension cord for outdoor use. What hardware is included? / How to attach the fan? There are two holes on the steel bracket that comes attached to the back of the fan. It's easy to install. I bought some nuts and bolts on my own that best fit the metal frame I was attaching it to. One hole is larger than the other so two different sizes are needed. Two healthy sized wood screws are included but I needed a nut and bolt for my use attaching to metal.Does it swivel?Yes, you decide if you prefer side to side or front to back. Because I needed to orient the included bracket horizontally, it swivels front to back for my use, or perpendicular to the bracket. (See my picture with fan attached to gazebo side.) if you need it to swivel in all directions, depending on your available space for hardware, you will need to pick up an additional bracket such as an L bracket. Is it noisy?Just the sound of the wind it makes! Really well built, solid and no rattles. Can it work on a timer?Absolutely! That's how I use mine, plugged into a pool/spa type of timer that lets you choice hours you wish it to be running. It also works fine with newer smart timers that work of phone APPs, etc.

Great product!
This fan is awesome. Assembly instructions were easy to follow, fan noise is minimal. Great air flow. Using in 99 degree Texas summer on covered back entertainment area.

Great product!
Great product, the installation was easy. When installing the fan blade, make sure the screw that holds on to the stem of the motor is on the inside closer to the motor. Otherwise, the pitch of the blades will not blow air toward you. When it's all installed, works awesome.

Decent fan with room for improvement
I’m using this fan in my backyard to repel mosquitos, which it works great for. I’m happy with how much air it puts out, and it oscillates decently. Seems durable enough so far but time will tell. The only issues I have is that the instructions aren’t very detailed, and the tilt position set screw is useless. Installation was easy until it came to the set screw. It isn’t long or sturdy enough, so I ended up having to drill a hole through the other side and stick a bolt through to lock it in place. This would be a 5 star item if that screw wasn’t such a pain.

Zero Airflow 3 Feet From Fan
The media could not be loaded. There are no pros regarding this fan. From the start, the mounting bracket provided no provision to keep the fan support from rotating on the mounting bracket. It hangs from a single hook in the middle, allowing the fan to pivot like a single hook picture frame would. This is in spite of the fact the mounting bracket has two screw holes far enough apart that they can't both catch a stud (my previous fan had three mounting screws laid out so they all had purchase in solid wood), necessitating the purchase and installation of a drywall anchor. The fan support is made of super lightweight metal that feels extremely inadequate to support the heavy fan motor and cage. When I mounted the fan, the bolt that holds it to the fan support arm had to be tightened way more than I felt comfortable with to keep the fan from sagging; I fully expected the plastic part of the fan motor that sits in the support arm to snap before it held its position. Instructions were awful and I had to remove the back cage and rotate it 90 degrees before the front cage would align properly using the hook on the top and the screw on the bottom. Once that was aligned properly, I found the hook on the front cage was too skinny to fit over the frame of the back cage and enjoyed fighting with it for several minutes before I finally got it on far enough that I could stretch the cage down to get the bottom screw in. I fired the fan up to find there was essentially zero airflow once I was more than 3 feet from the fan; see my video showing the plastic sheet hanging limp three feet from the front of the fan on high. And no, the blade was not on backwards, as you can see in the video, placing the bag behind the fan does result in it being sucked against the cage. The lousy mounting equipment would make this a 3-star fan but the fact that it doesn't blow air makes it absolutely worthless. My old 16" fan cost 1/3 the amount, installed in 1/4 the time, and could be felt on the far side of my two-car garage. And here I thought I was upgrading with a bigger fan!

Great for outside use.
I installed this on my dock and it has been very nice especially in the summer heat. Easy to install and use. It moves a very adequate amount of air to keep us cool outside, and appropriate noise for the amount of air volume. I would recommend.

Exactly what we were looking for
We bought this fan to replace another brand that died in less than a year. It’s a little smaller in diameter but works much better than the other. We have not had an issue with the noise-it is pretty quiet on the low setting and on high, it’s kind of loud but not distracting. Would buy this again if needed

Nice fan
Easy install, these are quiet and push a decent amount of air. My only problem with these is that the oscillation is 180deg. and cannot be adjusted for a smaller angle of movement. I just leave these in the non-oscillation modeand they are fine for my location.
