Ergonomic Office Chair - Adjustable Backrest & Lumbar Support, Large Mesh Computer Chair with Tilt & Lock Function

Got this for my husband since he started working from home and needed a chair more comfy than his previous ones. As soon as he sat on it, I could tell that it was love at first SIT. HAHA! He swiveled and rocked several times with his eyes only half closed because he was in the zone. I sat on it too, cool stuff. Well made, sturdy and easy to assemble. These are his exact words below which I just copied and pasted..lol. “ Very Comfortable If working from home is the goal, then this is a very good choice for seating. It was fairly easy to set up with straightforward instructions. Its base is roomy enough and the reclining function is very smooth and relaxing. Two things I wish were better are the neck rest which isn’t customizable enough, especially seeing its lowest position is quite high for my neck, but also the chair doesn’t go up really high. So its quite close to the ground. All in all, I am happy with the chair and recommend it”

Did a lot of research into ergonomic chairs to replace a 10+ year old basic mid-back chair. There are a lot of options in this price range but the Samofu won out for a few reasons. 1. The reviews were good. 2. The features I wanted were all there. 3. There was a great discount going at time of purchase. Got the first chair in, had it put together in about 20 minutes and instantly enjoyed the fit. I'm 5'10/180lbs and it was extremely comfortable relative to the chair it was replacing. There are a lot of adjustments available so you can really dial everything in just how you want it. Once everything is setup correctly the chair is incredibly comfortable and supportive. Less fatigue after sitting for longer periods. Chair was so good (and so was the discount) that I purchased another one for the office downstairs. I've only had the chairs for a couple weeks now but so far so good. I'll keep the review updated in the future if anything happens and will update the review in a year or so. Recommended.

I'D LIKE TO KNOW WHY NEITHER AMAZON, or the SELLER, or the party responsible for MAKING this chair, riddled with issues that haven't been addressed contacted me to discuss my issues or my plead for resolution. I don't think you want buyers like me, who have long term mutual positive relations with you AMAZON, writing reviews like these without getting involved. If this company had updated their valve assembly, please make them send me (and maybe all the other buyers who repeatedly complained about this very risky issue) the updated version! If they haven't resolved the issue, I believe you will be getting many more complaints like mine. I haven't asked you to take the chair back, just make them resolve this issue!!! I went from a 4 star rating to a 1 star since the chair was delivered on 02/17/2023. See reasons below: (1 Star) Update 3: My continued aggravation causes me to drop my score all the way down to (1) star! Between the gas cylinder leaking at least once daily and the back rest and headrest slippage ongoing, if given the chance I'd return this chair in a heartbeat! Maybe someone my size (6'5" and 235lbs.) is just too big for this chair. Whatever the case I'd think twice about purchasing this chair! (2 Stars) Update 2: My aggravation causes me to lower my score even more! The gas valve issue is a daily thing and the back slippage reared its ugly head again. Unless this manufacturer corrects thes problems stay away. Not worth the money! Update: The chair is one month old and the gas cylinder that allows you to raise or lower the seat position is leaking. This means when I get up and then come back to the chair its height position seems to slip all the way down to the bottom. This is more a nuisance to me than a deal breaker, but it is clearly another issue this company needs to address! Original: I should have read the product reviews prior to purchasing this Chair. However, I was lured in by the $100 discount. The Pros: The chair is built with tall people in mind. I am 6'5" tall and always have trouble finding a chair with a headrest that can adequately provide comfort. This chair does that! The chair is extremely easy to assemble. The necessary Allen wrench and Philips screwdriver is provided. The seat area itself appears to be quite comfortable regardless of the lack of padding. The Cons: Although the chair has an adjustable back with lumbar support, and it can be positioned to accommodate your individual needs, IT DOES NOT STAY IN ITS ADJUSTED POSITION! It seems to slip out of position when you move or always when you stand up. It's a shame because it would be worthy of a higher rating if not for the adjustable back assembly slippage!

NOTE - the 300 lb rating is spot on. If you are heavier, spend the extra $30 bucks for a heavier cylinder and install before you use the chair. Im a taller, bigger guy, with a larger portion of my height above my waist/hip line. This has made finding an inexpensive office chair solution very frustrating: you don't know if it works until you try it. I have been through more than a handful over the years, especially since COVID and moving to working from home. This is the one! The biggest advantage is the strong lower back support this chair comes with. It is adjustable. Having put together several chairs over the years, I knew when I was putting this together that it was made well. I had no issues getting this together (lots of practice?). The chair is mesh so its very open and airy. The "lock" for the back adjustment is finicky - I have gotten additional feedback from seller, watch the videos multiple times and still can't get it to stay. I have found a good height and it doesn't move much - I STILL HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS CHAIR. As mentioned, after about 3-4 months, the cylinder would not stay up - at the time I was over 300 by many lbs. I did buy a heavier duty cylinder but it was an extreme pain to get out since the gravity pressure had pushed the chair down on the cylinder like it was welded. If you weigh more than 300, its much easier to buy a cylinder that holds 400-500 or more and install it as you put the chair together.

Chair arrived 2 days early. Box was a little banged up. The backrest on chair was wedged in a position that would not allow it to move up to attach it to seat. It was packaged extremely well but the way the box looked it may have been tossed around pretty good to damage it like that. This is my second chair from them and the first one was fine and no damage to the box. I immediately emailed customer support and they responded quickly and was very courtesy and apologetic even though it was not their fault. They shipped a new backrest the very next day and it arrived quickly and my chair was completed and working. I asked but they did not want me to return the damaged item. KUDOS! Thank you SO much! Interesting enough, this chair is for my son who may be experiencing growth spurts and has back pains at age 13 and also has a different but older chair and this chair is far more ergonomic, comfortable and well made. I ordered the exact same chair as last time BUT it has been upgraded!!! New wheels and not the cheap black ones on my first chair that comes on almost all office chairs standard… pleasant surprise and will prevent damage on the new floors we will be installing… old wheels will damage cheaper engineering wood floors eventually. Also, there is an extra seat lever that lets you move the seat horizontally to support more or less of your tights resting on the chair and guess what… NICE IMPROVEMENTS ALL AT THE SAME PRICE I PAID FOR MY FIRST CHAIR!!! I literally have fallen asleep constantly in the office in this chair and my wife/kids have to wake me to go to bed OR I have slept until 5am a few times. I have no doubt this chair will last a long time because it is very sturdy and has a great warranty. Thank you for a wonderful product and my son who has been home due to COVID days his back no longer hurts during school online.

I don't intend to sound difficult here, but I had so much more expectations for this chair and all it has done is let me down. I really wish I could return it, but it's already built sand I've been sitting in it for 20 minutes. I'm afraid I'll only grow to hate this chair more everyday. The back adjustment only goes up one click at a time in order to lock in that position. One more click up and it will stick, but heaven forbid you move two clicks. It falls back down and you have to start again, one click at a time. The lean back gets stuck in one position and I end up spending way to much time and effort to get it in the position I want. It's not something I've ever come across with other office chairs. The arm rests are way too close to the body and there is no outward adjustments available. The only thing I like about this chair is the lower lumbar support for my ailing back. If I could return it, I would in a heart beat.

Overall, just disappointed. First, the box arrives on my doorstep and is just a big ball of tape with the box in shambles. Not a good first impression. I will say that putting it together was relatively easy, and in general, the final assembled product is attractive. The adjustability, which is what sold me, is a strong feature; however, the implementation on some adjustable parts is poor. As another reviewer posted, the back height adjustment is a great concept, as you can in theory get the lumbar and back support just in the right place. However, if the locks fail at the slightest movement or press, then functionally, it's worthless. I'm resetting it constantly ... secret, I've found if you pull the latching mechanism outward on both sides from behind, then it tends to hold a little bit better. And finally, the seat! In general, my new recommendation is to never order an ergonomic office chair with a mesh seat. It is the first thing to stretch and start causing major hip pain! Well, with this chair, I didn't even have to wait for the mesh to stretch, as it was already! It didn't take 30m sitting and my hips were already hurting. IMO, find a better chair and avoid mesh seats altogether!

I bought this as a gift for my boyfriend, who is 6’2” and about 300lbs. He’s a pretty thick boy, and this chair is the best one we’ve found so far!! It’s almost just too slim to fit him, but it works perfect! He loves how it can be adjusted in the back and the neck (tbh it took us too long to figure out how to get the back to adjust LOL, but we got it). This is such a great chair for the price, a steal!!! I would purchase this chair a million times again 😂. Also it took like 20 mins to set up, all the pieces were there (they even provided extra screws just incase!!) and gave us a screwdriver and allen wrench for it. Also love how breathable it is, the mesh makes it so he doesn’t get sweaty while gamering 💪🤪. Perfect chair!!!
