Do the pests suffer a slow death?

No they don't seen to, there is some scent in the box that makes them go into a sleeping state. They just walk into the box and go to sleep.

Are the unscented/unflavored? do these have any bait and or odor beyond glue smell? i don't want anything with an added bait or odor. please lmk.

Our roach trap comes with grain-based bait and it does not have any scent. The glue is also scent-free. This product is non-toxic and very safe to use around your home. If you don't want to use the included bait, you can create your own bait by placing small pieces of cat food or dog food in the trap. The trap can also be used as an all-purpose insect trap (for spiders, and crawlies) without placing any bait in the trap.

Good for tree roaches?
