Neosporin is and has always been the best antibiotic on the market, in my opinion.
Neosporin is highly effective at relieving pain and healing cuts, abrasions, and even surgical scars. I have always used Neosporin, and I appreciate the new varieties they are introducing. All the ones I've tried have been excellent. In fact, when my children were young and they would get a cut or abrasion, I would assure them that after I cleaned the wound, I would apply Neosporin, and this would help calm them down, knowing the pain would soon subside. It really works like a charm! I also apply it to fresh surgical scars just after the stitches have been removed, and it has helped prevent scarring on my skin.

Nothing better, if you need healing, anti-itch, & anti-pain in one.
Small (5 oz) and expensive ($8.49) but this Neosporin is not only the best Antibiotic Ointment you can but (years' experience in construction) but it also has Pain-Relieving, Anti-Itch, & Scar Appearance Minimizer (with Neomycin & Bacitracin Zinc). If you need A+ healing plus anti-pain and anti-itch, there is nothing better (IMHO). Worth every penny.

Neosporin is a well-known & very effective treatment for scratches, scrapes and the like, and in my experience, great for keeping mild injuries from become infected. The big takeaway: it’s always available from Amazon and if I’d crashed my bike & was painfully skinned, I would not drag myself to stores in search of it. I’d order it immediately from Amazon.
