Mixer Cap Sp Kit, Retro

This is a upgrade for my 27 year old plumbing. Fit right in and works well with the old style plumbing. No leaks.

I had a 20 year old 304-K valve in the shower and we wanted to update the trim but none of the new trim would fit. With this hardware we could use the old base and once installed many newer trims could be used. So much better that having to change everything out. The valve was very easy to change out and we achieved the update we wanted.

For use with Kohler products. Fits dual assemblies perfectly. Very happy. Used in our shower remodel. :).

This is for an 8304 Kohler valve body. This retrofit allows you to take the original guts and replace with these ones. Pay close attention to rubber o rings. Once replaced you will be able to use most of Kohler’s shower trims. This allowed us to update an existing chrome color shower valve to matte black.

k-304 and k-11748 platforms do have options for trim kits for your shower or tub, but the selection is kind of lame . in order to use any of there trim kits for there newer style valve body you must have this adaptor valve (it sits against the existing or replacement cartridge that is inside the brass valve and allows for use with the modern trim from the K-8300 series or any variation with that 8300 and up). essentially if you have an older Kohler valve body (k-304 style) and you want a new Kohler trim with lots of the modern trim options(and a new valve that works great) get this adaptor valve that merry the old with the new. This was. Returned/used item it was partially assembled - no lube and missing screws. Very expensive for this hunk of crap.

A bit expensive, but it would have cost more if to take entire valve out. Needed this to change out the handle to different style and color. Put it in backwards first time, so if you use this pay attention to orientation. Worked great, kit fit perfectly and we love the end result!

I ordered two packages to replace the mixer caps in my two showers. One package came with a capsule of silicone lubricant, but the other one didn't. I had to purchase extra silicone lubricant because of that.
