Not paintable
I got these because I like the color of the hardware and I was going to paint shelf but it has such a finish on it you could not paint it, the paint just bubbled up and I did not want to sand them

Looks good, but didn't come with towel rack piece. also wood has rough edges that can cause splinters.

Awful smell
The shelves had a TERRIBLE smell. The odor was so strong, you could smell it through both packages.Can't review anything else because they are still in the garage airing out.
