Apparently I misread, I bought it to go my front porch. I guess it's only water resistant not waterproof. I went head mount it on the front porch against the wall aiming out. When mounted on the ceiling it pointing down we couldn't tell who was at the front door. Not enough Room for a regular camera, easily for person to set off the side not to be seen. Mounted on the wall with a few tilts it fills and takes up everything where there's no place to hide you see who's standing there. the Distortion not so bad being fish eyed. I am now the area mounted it I have a roof over it tucked it in between the door and the porchlight. should get very little if any water. I'm also going around every seam including where Cable goes inside and lens meets the frame with silicon. Hoping to address any Weather that may get to the unit. I did write to the manufacturer and they said long it was covered it would be OK I'm doing silicone just for extra. Now the image quality is not bsd ready good for Other fish eye cameras are seen Not use against like it was designed. Has good coverage and now we could see the person coming all the way to the door and they can't just step out the way the camera like before very happy with it. Join to get a waterproof version of this camera to go in the backyard as the main camera. with a couple regular cameras to cover Complete backyard with gist using a few regular cameras for good measure. I do recommer this camera.

This camera opens up the corner very well. It is difficult to get used to fisheye views, especially since my dvr doesn't allow you to separate the fish eye into individual viewing boxes. The camera is great - I like it and will buy more for other corners in the store.

We bought these to be connected to our DVR system. The fish eye is great for coverage and they were very easy to install. However we have noticed that you need to have a very good angle for them or the night vision will basically be useless. The night vision seems to have issues with any kind of reflective surface. We have to cover certain sections of the white paint on our house just to not have the camera be completely useless at night. Be aware of this when installing.Update: After maybe 3 months of these working great, we started to notice they would flicker and sometimes go black. These are highly temperature and water sensitive. These are NOT at all for outdoor use. Even with coverings, they still all blacked out and became useless.

I use this at my storeOne camera does the job of 4. Just installed it so don't know how long it will last but the build quality looks great and so far everything is working fineIt did take me a little bit to figure out the setting of the camera to get a color image but after that was done it was great.

this camera is bad ass. pic is great . i putit on the center of my ceiling of my huge 2 table poker room. i can see everything. cards/money/chips ect.when you pull it out of the box, you can feel that its a well put together camera. not that cheap garbage. thanks viewise

Did buy 2, now they are in color! It was my old dvr that was the problem. However the black spot at nights is still on one on the camera. Overall the picture is crisp.

Product and Customer Service are excellent. I would recommend to buy it. My camera was not working. They not only tried it to work but also escalated to director of company and until issue was resolved, director keep in touch with me. Very good service for handling calls and technical issues.
