Pebeyre - Summer Truffle Salt From France 1.76oz

This truffle salt is nice but only slightly fragrant and truffle-ish, definitely not as bold as other brands. It's good if you like a lighter truffle flavor. Also, the jar is smaller than other jars so it's a good one to buy if you want to test the waters. I know not everyone loves truffles as much as I do.The problem is the ratio of truffle to salt. This one has 1% truffle whereas my favorite brand - Casina Rossa - has 5% truffle and that's why you can actually experience the truffles, fragrance and all. You can even see tiny brown bits of truffle in the salt. The higher the ratio the better.Truffle salt is good for so many things aside from meats. You can add it to popcorn, salad, sprinkle a little on rice and on eggs, it's the most amazing taste sensation. A tomato salad with olive oil, a little red wine vinegar and truffle salt is so good as is a potato salad with olive oil and truffle salt. Amazing flavor that really gets kicked up a notch with this stuff.By all means, try this one and then move up to a salt with a higher concentration of truffles. You won't be sorry.

I ordered this to enhance all of my mediocre foods in college- like eggs, microwavable meals, etc. Trust me- this stuff will take a subpar meal and turn it into a gourmet feast! This stuff is magic! My roommate ended up using the entire jar and even bought her own of this exact stuff. I am not even kidding- the truffle taste is very strong and potent- even opening the jar is like WHAM! I also love this stuff on veggies , POPCORN!!!!! and pasta. It's truly the secret to any dish that takes it to the next level.

I wasn't too impressed by the flavor. My 11 year old daughter loves truffle parmesan fries, and that's what I mainly use the truffle salt in my house. I previously purchased the pink truffle salt from Trader Joe's, and my homemade fries were better than the restaurant's fries! I didn't realize the Trader Joe's salt was a seasonal item, so I had to look for an alternative when we started running out of the salt. My daughter didn't like it at all, and I didn't like much either. The truffle smell is strong, but maybe it's just the actual salt we don't like. I only use pink salt when I cook, and the regular salt taste just wasn't as good. It doesn't taste like sea salt either.

“Aroma” in ingredient list. Wasn’t shown in the ingredients on the amazon page. The salt itself appears to be bleached table salt. I don’t plan to eat this

This is the second time I buy this salt and it does not smell, nor taste like truffle salt at all. I wonder I received a fake one. I have bought this salt in the past Inma Gourmet shop and I liked it a lot. This salt has NO SMELL, BO TASTY. Such a RIP OFF!!

Hardly any and I mean hardly any truffles mixed in with salt. I could literally count the truffle specks.

The summer truffle salt is what I expected. I have ordered before and I enjoy adding it to tomato slices.

I love truffle salt and this is one of the best that I have tasted. Excellent flavor and aroma.
