Uniclife Aquarium Volcano Ornament Kit with Air Stone Bubbler Fish Tank Decorations

I've had this in my 20 long for two months now. In that time I've changed the substrate twice. It looked great with black gravel, white sand, and river gravel. The effect of the light looks spectacular in lower light. The whole visual works. After two months of continuous use and even some moving and banging around, all works as it should. The mountain is good quality. The light is plastic and floats. It has a suction cup to secure it to the bottom of the tank. It is small enough to be okay in a five gallon or larger tank. I am happy with this purchase and is a good value for what it adds to the tank.

My wife actually purchases for our 70 gallon tank and she purchased two of them. She is head over heels on how beautiful they look in the tank. They have a really neat red light that lights up the bubbles to look like lava. I would gladly give this 10 out of 10 for creativity and beauty. I hope these last me a good long time because I actually really love the way they look in the tank. Thank you for such a great product.

I personally really love this. It does look like a volcano and gives a volcano affect for sure gives more than adequate bubbles. The only downfall I personally don’t like is that the USB cord for the light is super short. The fish do not seem to mind it and it is very quiet.

I had a problem with the led lighting, and customer service was great to work with. They offered a few options and replaced the unit with no issues. The new one looks fantastic with a red light that makes the volcano glow, and the bubbles make it look like it's erupting underwater.

BEWARE OF THIS PRODUCT! I purchased this Uniclife Aquarium Volcano Ornament Kit with Air Stone Bubbler Fish Tank Decoration in October of 2021 for my 46-gallon aquarium. In the past month or so I began to notice some red brick particles scattered around the gravel. Initially, I just thought that it was uneaten fish food because I feed them a flake food that’s similar in color (but not the same shape). However, I eventually deduced that the only source could be the volcano, which had similar colors painted on the outside of it. Unfortunately, that wasn’t before I lost, in relatively quick succession, EVERY scavenger fish (nine) that I had. It’s obvious that they ate whatever was lining the interior of that volcano and consequently died. I’m sure that the initial cost for these fish easily exceeded $150, but all of them had grown much larger since their purchase. When I removed the volcano, I discovered that virtually all of the paint on the underside was gone! That’s not the worst of it – BY FAR! As I attempted to remove this contamination from the gravel, I soon discovered that it wouldn’t suction up through my vacuum device. The paint particles had somehow become adhered to the gravel in clumps, so now I realized that I had a disastrous problem and would need to completely tear down the aquarium to address this disaster. I then had to rush out and buy a smaller 10-gallon aquarium to house my remaining fish. Of course, I also had to buy a filter, heater and air pump for that tank so the fish would (hopefully) survive this ordeal. Unfortunately, I have since lost another six fish (so far). Besides this, I had to replace all of the gravel. Why? Because the paint contamination had so thoroughly polluted the gravel that I couldn’t even clean it using a screen because the clumps wouldn’t pass through the drain holes. Oh, and all of my live plants had to be thrown out because they were also contaminated with the paint and could not be cleaned. Upon realizing that this product was poorly-designed for something that failed while being used in its intended manner, I then read through some of the Amazon reviews of this item. It is there that I learned that others have voiced the same exact complaint; that the paint flakes off and litters the bottom of the aquarium. I now know that it’s toxic to tropical fish. The failure and short-sighted design of this product has now cost me almost $400! Despite making abundantly clear to Uniclife the amount of damage (including several photos) and costs due to their faulty product, their only “solution” was to offer a refund of the $18.99 which I paid for this decoration.

I purchased this volcano for my 20 gallon tank and I can say that it’s bittersweet so far. The instructions that came with the item weren’t all that great. Also you you need to buy a air pump to attach it to in order for your volcano to actually produce bubbles with the sea stone. So this is just basically the shell but as soon as it’s set up the bubbles won’t disappoint. My only complaints are trying to add the light feature to the volcano can be tricky. There’s no real place to put it and the instructions aren’t clear where inside to volcano to add it so you have to set it up as best as you can. The bubbles also shoot up onto the led lights on the aquirum so you might have to readjust water level like I did. But on the bright side it does keep all the snails on the floor and off the windows which is nice! Overall though it looks amazing at night and I still have it in my tank it’s a good add on to my tank! 8/10 satisfied with the item but 5/10 with the setup.
