Great Tactical Pen
This is a great little pen. Not that this pen is small, it's a standard size pen (about 6" long and between 7/16 & 1/2 inch diameter at it's widest point), however a number of these types of pens are overly big and bulky. I have purchased a couple of dozen "Tactical Pens" and have given most of them away to friends and family. I have a similar pen that I carry every day, which this one may replace. What I look for in one of these pens is, it has to look more like a pen than a weapon, it shouldn't draw attention to itself. The second thing I look for is the tungsten steel tip. While it's unlikely you will ever have to break your car window to get out, if you're going to buy one of these pens, why not have that feature, just in case. Another thing I look for is, the opposite end of the point should be flat, for your thumb to rest on, if you ever need to strike something with the pointed end. This one has all of those things. One thing this one has that the others I have don't, is an O ring for the cap. It helps the cap from coming loose, however I don't yet know if I like that feature or not. The good thing is, if I decide I don't like that feature, the O ring is easy to remove. I do like the clip on this pen. My EDC pen has two screws which hold the clip on, it recently came loose and the screws are a super tiny torx, so I just removed it. This pen has it's clip held on by the threaded top, which is much better than those tiny screws. Bottom line, for under 10 buck you can't go wrong with this pen, nicely made with all the features I look for.

A MUST HAVE....
The design, construction, and tactical performance of this Pen is exceptional, particularly considering its cost. Pen's costing three times as much don't perform as well. A perfect 6" length, weight, balance, and comfortable ergometic grip allow quick shirt pocket removal and sure immediate first strike placement. The simple design with the tungsten point facing down and broad thumb round cap assure non-slip positive grip when striking hard surface targets and optimum penetration of soft tissue. Testing on pine board and a watermelon and cantaloupe were impressive. Has a very functional large cartridge roller pen for extended use. Only inconvenience is the pen cap when removed cannot be attached to the pen. Still, a very functional and effective Tactical Pen for less than the cost of a double cheese burger and fries. After viewing tactical pen instructional videos on YouTube and 30 minutes of diligent practice, one can gain personal safety proficiencyfor "one strike, no fight... Unicorn technique..." Assailants lose the will to attack when they have a tactical pen protruding from their temple or face. Inexpensive and practical gift for men and women.... easy to use, highly effective and certainly better than nothing.

Seems to be solid, and not too agressive looking
I haven't had any need to put this to the test yet, but it feels very solidly constructed and has excellent "fit and finish".Without the knurling or other hyper "tactical" features, it's not as aggressive looking as many other pens I've had, and probably would draw less attention than other styles. The fit of the cap onto the "back" of the pen for writing seems like it could be improved a bit with a minor change in the shaping, and it would be nice to have a version which uses "space pen" cartridges for a pen that's intended for some level of outdoor use, but for a pen with a sealing cap the Parker is probably adequate 90% of the time.

The cap won't stay on when writing.
I like the pen very much, but the cap will not stay on when the pen is being used to write, not even a little bit. I have forcibly pushed the cap on, and it won't stay. This would be an easy fix. Be prepared to leave the cap on the table when you're writing with this pen. Also, the ink ran out in less than a week.UPDATE: after a few weeks, I can with force get the cap to stay on most of the time. But it is a fragile equilibrium -- the slightest touch will case the cap to fall off. Also, Fisher Space refills work on this pen.

Solid
I am very pleased with this tactical pen. I have to admit, at first, I was a little disappointed/frustrated until I just realized that the pen cap was just tightened unusually tight. I could not figure out how to get the pen cap off! But after going back online to look at pictures, I saw how it worked. I got the cap loosened and now everything functions beautifully. I am very pleased with this tactical pen.

Similar to Benchmade, excellent value
This is a really attractive and functional pen. It looks and feels a lot like the Benchmade one, it grips nicely, not too big, not to heavy, carbide tip. Writes OK. An important feature this pen has is a "screw on" cap for tactical use. I hate the pens that have a pull on cap and could be pulled out of your hand with a light tug by an assailant. This one is solid

DOA, could not get pen to separate.
Mine arrived DOA. Could not get the pen to separate from the bottom, it was stuck inside and short of getting vice grips on the pen and then scratching the heck out of I could not get the two sides separated to get to the actual writing pen. I saw other comments about lubing once you got them separated but I could not get that far. I should not have to work that hard to make it work. Back it goes.

SUPER light and super worth it
Just got this today and upon opening the box and removing the pen I was impressed by how light this pen is. It looks great and feels good in the hand. It can be disassembled down into 5 pieces (not counting in cartridge and spring). Overall I really like this pen. Very happy with the purchase considering how cheap it was. That worried me. But in the end, it was totally worth it.
