Tonight was the first time I decided to try out the flakes, and they turned out STUNNING!!! So easy to use, to the point where I decided to come write a review even though I've had this set for over a year now. I've been using the brush-on colors for awhile and have really enjoyed those, but was pretty intimidated by the flakes until I tried them. I had absolutely no reason to worry-they are foolproof. Including photos of both tonight's manicure (nude w/flakes) a long with an older one with two of the polish colors over the included black. HIGHLY recommend if you want some very versatile toppers!

This is a pretty set and I was excited to get them but I don’t think they look as cool as they appeared. For the $8 sale price I got them for, it’s a great set; if I’d spent the original $32, I’d have been unhappy.The colorshift is pretty but it’s a bit chunkier than I thought. The green/pink/gold is my favorite out of them with the most noticeable shift and is pictured. The other two seem more subtle to me.The black it comes with is amazing though! A one coat black is impressive! The base and top coats are great too! But everything is really quite thick so with all the layers makes for some thick nails.Overall they’re fun and pretty, I enjoy using them, but I’m glad I didn’t spend more than I did.

This is with the base coat, one layer of black and 2 layers of the glitter, then one later of top coat. It's kinda thick, but that's my fault. Use multiple, thin layers and you're good. I've gotten so many compliments! My nails look like galaxies, and this pic is after a week of wear. Def worth the money!

I tried a different kit before with a couple brands of UV gel; problems I has were gel was too thin, took forever to dry. THIS kit is FUN! The color selection is great; 3 basic creme colors, white included to do french tip if you want; the 3 chameleon colors are nice, the 3 hot/cold shades are attractive, and metallic (gold and platinum) are sheer, blend well with color changing gel (platinum bottom, color change top, pictured; one layer each). The color changing gel will deepen with each layer.The base and top coat (included) layers dried fairly quickly, top coat is flexible and seals with mirror finish, without running to the edges of your nail. I recommend a higher wattage lamp than the one enclosed, the process will go faster. Lasts between 1-2 weeks, I do cooking, washing dishes, and cleaning, so I'm hard on my nails. All in all, took little over an hour to do base, 2 gel layers, and top coat. Very happy!

The glitters are very pretty in person and the formula for those glitters is nice. I assume the base might be off, since the top coat definitely is. The black could be better, too. It does seem to have a slight green hue, but the pigment is wanting. In my pictures you can see how awful the top coat is compared to my Gelish no wipe top coat. It claims to be a no wipe top coat in the instructions, but it stays tacky, and becomes matte if wiped. So, I'll add my own top coat over their's to finish my 8 year old's mani. The outcome in the pictures on my 8yo during testing (excuse the application, tiny wiggly fingers lol) is just their top coat, before I tried to wipe the tacky away. It went matte when I did. Less is definitely more with the iridescent flakes. You can see in the pictures that one container of flakes is green and the other golden, so you can get some cool effects with them. But, next time I will definitely use my own base and top coats and maybe even a better black underneath the glitter. However, the glitters are pretty enough to make the purchase worth it for me. I will try to remember to update after my next try.

10 out of 10! Love these colors, I have tried each one. They have great coverage and my daughter loved the charms. Worth the price!
