I got burgled and this just bent backward on the thin plate that sxrews to the frame. This needs to be as thick as the rest of it but it's not much thicker than a jam tart holder

I have a kitchen door that opens inward into the hall, and the locks are far more convenient to use, than any stoppers which you have to physically move into place (like a door stop).Easy to fit - just drill 3 screws into the side of the door frame and when the door is shut you just "flip" the lock over.Just to note, as others have said, they are suited to doors which close flush with the door frame. If you have door frames which protrude out, then the lock will sit further away, which is not ideal. The can be solved with added a small spacer or other DIY fitting on the door adjacent to the lock to create the connection when the door is shut with the lock engaged.The other thing to bear in mind, the lock only works with doors that open inward.
