Awesome kettle, even better service!
I ordered this item because it was the kettle I was looking for to make coffee (pour overs, French press) and it was at a good price. The copper one looked cool in the picture, so that's the version I chose. When it arrived, I was impressed with the kettle as well as the packaging. It looks so great! Certainly it appears like I spent much more money on it. And it works really well. It warms water quickly and the thermometer is built-in, easy to read, and accurate. Great item. The company reached out to me and asked me if I was pleased, and I responded with a yes - except - the face of the thermometer was a bit scuffed up from shipping (it wasn't protected with a plastic film). I could still read the temperature, but it's the only constructive criticism I had for them. They apologized and immediately sent a replacement, even though I didn't ask for one.So, this company not only produces an excellent product for coffee lovers, but they are driven to serve customers with excellence. I'm very happy I made this purchase and expect to use my kettle(s) for a long time. :)

Nice kettle
I had wanted to try my hand at pour over coffee for awhile. After getting a pour over dripper; I needed a kettle to do this right. Using the microwave just didn’t look right. The kettle is a nice little goose neck design. The handle is good as you don’t have to worry about grabbing a hot spot. There is a thermometer on top to aid in the consistency. My drippers instruction said 203. It doesn’t break down by numbers so the 200 mark is fine. There is plastic on it. You will see the cover for the neck. There is one on the bottom of the thermometer and there is one on the temperature gage. I missed that one and it wrinkled a little and I was “How did water get there?” It came off without issue.Do give it a wash as I noticed black bits come out.The other thing to keep in mind; this is not a load with water and walk away and wait for noise like with tradition kettles. The water will shoot out if it gets too hot.So far it’s been a good kettle. I do have concern over the thermometer breaking due to use. However, others have commented it does not.Oh I forgot to mention I did get tips from the vendor. Simple things like that make it better. I am happy with this purchase.

Gorgeous, High Quality Kettle
1. This kettle looks so beautiful on my stove I leave it there when I'm not using it rather than hiding it in the cupboards.2. The thermometer on the kettle makes it so easy to see how hot/close to boiling the water is.3. Precise performance. The spout on this kettle pours precisely and won't splash when boiling unlike other kettles I've used that will spill if you're not extremely careful.4. Solid craftsmanship, 5 cup capacity.

Great kettle with 1 significant defect
This would be five stars but for a significant design “safety” defect: the lid handle (the thermometer) that you grasp to remove the lid is set only 1/4 to 1/2 inch from lid (see photo above on 1/4 inch grid). The lid attaches tightly (good in general). So if you grasp lid to pull off when kettle is hot you burn yourself. Kettle holds approximately a quart/liter, so I have found myself doing that a lot. The first time I did it I really burned myself.Otherwise, the kettle is great. It is attractive, seems well constructed, pours perfectly and heats quickly—although not as quickly as an electric kettle. The base of the kettle is small, so on my Wolf stovetop I use medium-high heat. I usually heat the water in my electric kettle and then pour into this kettle. (Not terribly efficient, but it’s quick and if I pour it into the cold kettle it cools it to off boiling pretty quickly so I don’t have to monitor it). But it works well the traditional way.I use a Clever, so it’s more forgiving than a pour over. But I really love the way this kettle pours.I was worried that thermometer might not last since you pull it with lid to remove and place it down when you fill. But so far so good. It threads onto lid with a hex nut that attaches underneath lid. The nut loosens occasionally but it’s easy to tighten with pliers.I was impressed with the customer service response when I e-mailed BW to suggest a different lid design (more clearance or a non-conductive barrier on lid handle). But when writing this review I noticed that someone else complained about same thing 18 months ago and they haven’t fixed design.

Great tool for coffee lovers
With my wife and I spending more time at home (I'm writing this during Covid-19 pandemic) we've had more time to make "good coffee" every morning (as opposed to the Nespresso pods we typically make when we're rushing out the door to leave for work). We saw this highly rated, reasonably priced, gooseneck kettle on Amazon and decided to try it out to enhance our Chemex coffee making experience. The kettle is great. The built-in thermometer is extremely helpful in getting the ideal water temperature. The gooseneck is well constructed and ideal for controlled pour over coffee. We also really like the classic, stainless steel aesthetic as we typically have it sitting out on our stove at all times.I'm surprised (thankful) at the reasonable price tag (compared to other similar products). I highly recommend!
