FLETCHER-TERRY COMPANY 01-122 Glass Cutter

One of the finer glass scorers I've used.I seem to buy and loose these things all the time. Just long enough in between projects to forget where I put the last one. Well I'll tell you this; this is an excellent glass scorer. Fit and finish are great, and the carbide insert leaves a nice, bold line on the glass. Breaks have all been right on the line, as long as I do my part in keeping it straight. Breaker lever too, and a nice gold and green finish that makes it look a step above other cutters I've used. So far, it's been about 8 months, and I still haven't lost this one. Happy to say, I hope I don't loose it anytime soon. Real nice.

I have cut glass for 20 years but never owned a Fletcher, always Toyos. I liked it was made in the USA. The bad reviews are correct, there is no sound and no scratch, with or without oil. I had to use two hands just to get enough pressure to make an inconsistent scratch. I'm not sure how the folks who posted good reviews got it to work. I will go back to buying Toyos, they always worked well for me.

Won't give a clean cut and needs a tremendous amount of pressure to even create a light score. Real good quality scorers make a gritty sound, but this made none. Ended up cracking my glass and throwing them away. Learned my lesson to spend more for the real thing.

Excellent glass cutter. Have been using it professionally for 40 years. Comfortable hold, scores hard to cut glass and intricate cuts. Cheap enough to replace as soon as it wears out. How can I get a quantity discount?
