They're just as black and streamline as shown the picture. They're also new leather, so they tend to "stick" and be a bit rigid which makes tying and looping them a bit difficult, but they'll loosen up the more you use them. The metal tip is fastened very tightly and makes the pushing process easy. There's also a faint seam that allows the flat shape to bend when being pushed through the holes andit is extremely unnoticeable unless you physically hunt for it.Edit: The laces seem to be a more smooth leather--lamb leather as opposed to cow leather. Their true length is about 50 inches with the 2 metal tips making the other 1 inch in length.Edit2: After a few months of wearing the laces, they've stretched out to a solid 53ish inches and are now much more flexible. They still look very fine and actually tie tighter/easier. Great product that gets even better the more you use it.I bought these to replace the laces of a new pair of leather Converse (Chuck Taylor Hikers to be specific), and they match absolutely perfectly. High-top Converse to come standard with a 54" lace, so it did run short on them, but that's fine. I also bought a white pair for another set of white leather Converse I have, and it seems to look dashing as well!

Nice good color not to shiny good gold color

Bought these laces and tried them on my Jordans and they look great (see picture). It looks like the tips may not last too long if you're the type to constantly re-lace your shoe, but I'm not terribly worried about that. I wish they were available in a longer size so that more intricate designs can be done, but they look good regardless.

I used this string as a type of drawstring for a high-end western hat so it would be more functional for hunting or fishing.

I bought these for some silver sneakers and while the color is exactly what I was looking for, the laces themselves are by far too long. Wish they had them in varying lengths.

Very nice and makes any pair of shoes look fancier. Wish the aglets came in silver. Only gave 4 stars though because they don’t actually stay tied. No matter how tight I pull them they manage to unravel after walking maybe a few minutes, hoping they’d soften but I’ve been using them a while and still won’t stay tied.
