The bed was great at first but now there is a hole the shape of my body in it where I sleep and I wake up with back pain. Do not buy this bed if you plan on using it more than a couple of months.

I truly cannot get enough of my Bear Mattress. My boyfriend was a bit weary of the bed-in-a-box model because he has found memory foam to be uncomfortable in the past. He likes really firm mattresses and I prefer softer ones, so finding a bed that worked for the both of us was an arduous task. That being said, we decided to try out Bear. This bed is perfect for both of our sleep preferences. Slightly firmer than other competitors and makes for a truly restful sleep. We have been sleeping very well and we owe it all to Bear. I highly recommend this product, so long as you have a good alarm clock! My one piece of advice would be to let it air out for a day after you take it out of the box. There is a odor from the packaging that goes away after a day or so, but best to air it out before you put your sheets on it.

Very comfortable bed. My only complaint is that our king size mattress is not king sizing. Ours measures 77 x 74 x 10. I figured it just needed time to fully open, but it’s been 3 days and it hasn’t changed.Not the end of the world, but I’d still like to have the full size of the advertised bed.

Cooling comfort? No, sleeps warmer than advertised.Contouring pressure relief? Hips hurts when sleeping on side.Not a true queen size (shorter) and cover fits loosely.Waste of money? MaybeUpdate 5/09/20: Yes, it was a waste of money.

I had used the bed for about 1 year, with only 1 person sleeping on it (130 pound), it has become too soft. My whole body is pain every morning after I woke up.,I am already shopping for another mattress.Waste of money

So, a 2 is appropriate rating for our experience, but may not be appropriate for someone else's. My wife and I purchased this mattress because our older, soft-plush mattress was causing us back pain every morning. This mattress is on the firmer side of medium-firm. I am typically a combo-sleeper, so I thought it would be great. Overall, it was indeed an improvement for our backs, but there were issues:1st Month:-Mattress firmness led to increased tossing an turning. Sleeps cool as far as foam mattresses go. Back pain Improved! but woke up with tingly numbness in the hips and legs each morning. Slight pinch in left shoulder--when I roll to my side, it's on the left.2nd Month:-Mattress a little softer now, better sleep but still quite firm. No longer issues with hips. Back feels good. Slight pinch in shoulder has increased to a dull ache--essentially replacing back pain from prior mattress into my shoulder. This issue was exacerbated by carrying my toddler around, and is now causing daily pain.3rd Month:-Mattress still firm, but a little softer still. Occasional back soreness in morning; however, this could be from increased computer use (work-related) and occasional belly sleeping--in order to avoid rolling to slide. My wife started to complain of shoulder issues. My left shoulder basically experiences both sharp and dull pains all day long. I'm avoiding physical therapy until the new insurance year--hoping to forego by replacing with a softer mattress.Returned:-Within the 100 day Trial period. Very fast and easy. No questions asked, but your bed must be in good condition: no stains or damages. You only get one return per name and address, so if you repurchase from Bear, it will not be eligible for return (I believe this is fairly standard).Additional considerations:My wife and I are average size and weight. We are both combo sleepers, though I am more inclined to sleep on my side. Additional research (sleepopolis.com) on this specific Bear mattress revealed that it is bad for side sleepers and heavy persons (250+ lbs--not us, but good to know). Recently, Bear released the BearPro. This new mattress will probably meet our needs; however, I will not purchase as I've already used my Return Eligibility on the first mattress.

We are loving our new Bear mattress and have had the opportunity to sleep on it for the past week. The mattress is firm, but is very comfortable. I am a stomach sleeper and a runner. I used to experience some pain in my knee caps and achy restlessness the night after a long run on our old mattress. With the Bear mattress, I have not had that problem.Also we have both noticed that we feel very refreshed in the morning and post workout stiffness and soreness appears to dissipate very quickly after a night's sleep.Additionally, we have had a chance to sleep on the mattress both on hot and cold nights. My husband tends to be very hot and I tend to be very cold when we sleep. The Bear mattress has been able to regulate both of our temperatures somehow (maybe magic) so that we both have been comfortable sleeping using the same comforter and no additional blankets.We could not be happier with this mattress and would recommend it to anyone in the market for a new bed.

I purchased the Bear Elite Hybrid Mattress for $2000 last year. It is very disappointing as the mattress didn't even last a year before I started to sink in and cause me back pain. I tried to start a warranty claim but because there are no damages and the bed does not dip 1.5" or more, they cannot send me a replacement.Their website doesn't let me submit a review so I'm doing it here. I wished I purchase from more reputable company. Money lost down the drain and back pain every morning. I will never purchase from BEAR again.
