A surprisingly good product from china

So this is a good beginner tong. It works for flat stock and round stock. I haven't tried it for square stock, but I would imagine it works OK.It gets a little hot after a long amount of forging, you just need to wear a simple leather glove to handle the heat though. The only other thing is that my rivet got really stiff one day, and I had to take my hammer to it a bit to loosen it up again. Not a big deal bit minor things I noticed.

Great tongs to start. Theyre heavy and have plenty of material you can draw the reins out later to make them lighter or change the jaws to better fit your application. Great beginner pair. I suggest getting these and theres a box of 3 tong blanks you can assemble. Use these to complete those. Then use those to fine tune these. Pro theyre assembled and function. They got lots of material. Con theyre crude, theres lots of material, they need adjusted for width.

The tongs I received don't appear to be welded like some other reviews mention. They grip well and are comfortable to hold in one hand.

The teeth and v shape hold almost nothing. Better off going to a blacksmith site and getting a good pair. Will cost you more but would be better in the end. Good of you are doing very small work I guess.
